The K Hole

I took ketamine and found the buzz pretty lame, but decided to try more and fall into a K Hole. I must say I found it disconcerting, but very enjoyable. I have a few questions about it: 1) What are the physical side effects of usage? 2) What does it interact with well and poorly? 3) Are there other hallucinogens that are similar in effect, such as DXM? Thanks for any responses.

A buddy came across some TT Ket. He misread the label and thought the whole thing contained 100mg. IT REALLY CONTAINED 1000MGS!!

He does IM what he believes to be 18mgs, but turned out to be 180mgs!

The only way he could describe it...he was in another dimension. Puked all over the place. Was out for like 6 hours.

Read up...180mgs IM is a fuck load of K.

My point...Know Your Body, Know Your Drugs and Know Your Limit!

I'm not a retard like your friend. Anyone with an ounce of common sense would assume that a whole vial is made to knock you out for surgery. Can anyone answer my questions? I don't need a preacher on a podium, I want some info.

I have enjoyed the K hole the first few times, but after those times its a sucky and i mean sucky experience. Theres no way to really describe it. I only did K when i was rolling, it sucked by itself or with any other drug. As for physical side effects, i could NEVER nut on K, always felt like shit afterwards and the entire next day, and basically just felt like a dirty piece of shit.

I have a friend who has used K for over 7 years. Her shrink asked her to be part of a brain study. She spent 3 days going through extensive tests, MRI, etc... She told me that the docs said that her brain was perfectly normal, in fact according to her, the docs found her brain to be in excellent condition with healthy amounts of endorphin. In its most basic description, Ketamine is referred to as "schizophrenia in a bottle" the drug inhibits endorphin levels in your brain, which of course COULD lead to long-term effect. Just like using any other drug, you're fucking around with your brain chemicals, which are very sensitive and fragile. It is hard enough to have normal chemical balance as is, adding anything to disturb it could obviously hurt your brain. Anyways, what I said about my friend is the only actual "proof" I had of medical evidence on K's "safe" long term use. But I have no clue if what my friend reported to me was what the docs REALLY said is true. (we're talking about a drug addict for God's sake...)
My experience and .02 cts: K does take you to another dimension/level, no question about that. There's a book written by Doc. Karl Jansen "Ketamine, Dream and Realities" it reflects his theories and discoveries about the drug. Many people believe that K is a drug which takes you to another spiritual level, many compare it to a Near Death Experience. I agree with that, I meet myself on K.... (serious) but i'd rather stick around to my dimension, at least until I die!!!
Check out this paper written by the doc: http://www.mindspring.com/~scottr/nde/jansen1.html Hope this helps.:p

casa is right there, it can take you to another dimension, and it has been used to learn about the near death experience

In no way was I meaning to sound like a preacher. Just sharing an experience I thought was relevant to your question.

SOOOOO...EXCUSE THE FUCK OUT OF ME!!!!

Sorry Digger Dan. I appreciate any insight. K was just out of this world and I try to 'learn' from my drug experience. I'm not looking for recreational buzzes. Is there anything to hold onto the memory of a K hole? I read at Erowid that 2 cb can help.

I try to 'learn' from my drug experience.

ahh... that's not something you hear too often nowadays! i'm on the same boat as you though jacob, and i also happen to be majoring in neuroscience at college, so lemme help you out a bit here.

as you probably already know, ketamine is a psychedelic anesthetic which is structurally, and therefore, pharmacologicly very similar to phencyclidine (PCP). this similarity between k and PCP is not a good thing, as the literature states that "prolonged schizophrenic symptomatology" is evident with long term PCP abuse. from what research i've done on K specifically though, using it sparingly and with caution should not be harmful to your health (it IS still used as a human anesthetic on occasion).

anyway, i have personally never used K and don't think i ever will because i think the potential risks outweigh any potential benefits. what i suggest to you, if you truly want to learn from your drug experiences, are "real" psychedelics. 2-CB, and also 2-CT-7 and other such 'research chemicals' are virtually impossible to get a hold of now. shrooms (you can grow your own from spores bought over the internet), lsd, and mescaline (easily extracted from legal cacti, you can also buy over internet) are probably the most accessible psychedelics out there. and any of the three, (either lsd, shrooms, or mescaline) taken in the right dosage can give you the most intense, mind-blowing journey of your life. on this i speak from experience.

good luck with all your psychonautic adventures...

actually college kid, K is one of the safest party drugs you can do as for risks of death, go to dancesafe and look at the risk analysis, the chances of dying from k are right there with smoking a ciggarette. and its not a psychadelic, its a "DISSOCIATIVE ANESTHETIC" much different.
