The Jena6 are going to get sued...

I'm an attorney and will enjoy following this. Those kids who jumped him are in for some entertaining lawsuit! All that money that was donated to them is going to get taken away if this kid is successful.

The Jenna 6 have no funds or probably any assets for that matter so, if they are awarded a judgement it will probably never be paid.. what other legal avenues do they have...

I read an article that they have a few million bucks. They had tons of money donated to them for the defense fund (even though a couple of them had public defenders! lol)

In the end the money doesn't matter. Justice needs to be served.

The Jena 6 were prosecuted too harshly and they got the charges reduced so they have seen justice. That white kid got beaten until he was unconscious and he had nothing to do with the noose incident (which wasn't even related to a racist incident in the first place) and he needs to have justice served too.

People just can't go beating people up, regardless of their race, and expect not to see any consequences. That is vigilante justice and just plain wrong.
 
well if the white dude never provoked the black peeps then none of this would've happened. I'm in no way saying it was right for the blacks to server justice on their behalf (because in NO way was that right) but that inital noose hanging was playing with fire... and they should know that ... they're in the south ffs.
Its obvious who's at fault for this, but I think the Campus supervisors could have done something to prevent this.
If I were in charge of that school, I would have suspended the white dude asap, and put a ps3 in some room with madden 08' and let everything unwind.
i didn't pay too close of attention to the whole thing but
1) white dude hangs noose to be funny
2) 6 blacks jump white dude
3) white dude gets tko and is hurt real bad
4) 6 blacks get suspended and are now in legal trouble
right?

Ummm that's not what happened.
 
they should have to pay for any medical expenses incurred by their beating. I don't think some "Mulit million" dollar settlement is in order though.......let's be serious, the kid isn't sitting in a hospital bed paralyzed and will never work again. But those kids need to pay their dues to him. If I beat the shit out of some guy, even if he deserved it.........I'm still on the hook for at least some of his medical expenses. If they have to work at mcdonalds all summer to pay it off.......so be it.
 
It is amazing how so many people do not get the facts straight on this.

The noose was NOT a racist incident.

The white kid who got beaten up didn't have anything to do with the noose incident in the first place.

I hope the white kid gets the millions that were donated to those fools that beat him up. They do not deserve a dime.

I was born and raised in the south and the notion that some white kids in a small southern town had no fucking clue that a noose would be seen as insult to blacks is so far beyond the scope of reality it defies logic. I'd sooner believe Big Foot and Elvis are playing checkers on Noah's Arc right now.

They beat him down for something else that had nothing to do with the noose incident. The media describing both incidents in the same story distorts everything.

look, i'm all for punishing those who hang noses and racial intimidate.
no place for that in our great society, none at all.
but beating down the white kid is despicable...and putting these losers on a hero pedestal (like at the bet awards, sending them money, making them into matryrs) is even more despicable
 
There was a clip on youtube with one of em laying in and playing with all the cash he recieved and showing off all the bling he had gotten thus far.
His attorneys told him to take it down but it is still on the web if you look.
Total reversal would have a much different outcome I assure you, if the 6 were white they would already be facing attempted murder charges and still locked up.

Justice will be served. Those kids are thugs anyway. Two already have criminal records and that says it all.
