this thread is only appropriate considering all the other ones.

I hate your irrationality
I hate your followers
I think you're a farce.

you'll be my successor when some religious fanatic comes and kills me.
they'll probably take us both out at the same time.

LOL @ how upset and irrational atheists become whenever God is mentioned.

It's ok cupcake.

Funny, I see the same irrational reaction from the believers whenever their faith is questioned.

Typically you prove too biased to see the ditinction.

I have yet to see a "Look at how stupid atheists are" thread on this or nay other board. Or in life for that matter.

Yet the reverse is true daily. I attribute it to insecurity.

The problem is you are to biased to see the distinction. There are plenty of attacks on Athiests, if you recognize them as such. Every pro athlete that has to attribute everything they do to god is a subtle attack, saying his belief in god makes him better than those that don't have that belief. This is just one of many examples.

I'm not biased here. I am neither atheist nor believer. As for your contention about threads belittling atheists, I guess the Christians are too busy creating threads attacking Islam. :) Where religion is concerned, EVERYONE attacks some other entity for espousing beliefs contrary to their own.

The really amusing thing is that the people I consider irrational are those that believe unequivocally in something unprovable. On both sides of your equation.

Again this isn't difficult.

There is a war going on. It is natural that people would be discussing those who at least in part we are at war against. If Japan flew planes into the TWC, I'm sure we would be arguing eastern belief systems if they were attributed by the perps as justification for their actions.

I dont recall a single thread about Islam anywhere on a general chat board prior to 9/11

Saw a few IRC Channels dedicated to trashing Islam in the mid '90s. I've seen a few threads bashing them prior to 9/11 too. Couple of newsgroups in the mix. The extremist Islamics have been spoken poorly of for many years. I'll agree there is arguably more of it going on now though.

I wish I had quaslified my previous statement with "general chat boards"

Oh wait

I did

Im so very clever.

Islam didnt enter the majority public consciousness in this country till after 9/11. It was an Israeli problem and most people wouldnt have been able to tell you what they called God, never mind what they actually believed.

I think the bombing of the WTC in '93 brought them into the American consciousness.

I just had one of the dumb fuckers fly into my window. They must lose intelligence when they get their wings.

It takes a great deal of security to completely deny what has been preached for thousands of years.

Dont be silly Phenom.

the idea of god is pretty chill, i just hate when organized religion inconveniences me for no good reason..like getting double saturday detention for saying "god damnit" (religious profanity), or not being able to get chick fil a on sunday
