The hell with quad injects!!

I've never done quad injects before this current cycle which requires ED injects. So far, I've done three in my quads, with tonight's being the third and final one. The other two didn't feel right to begin with. It just feels like you shouldn't be putting a needle in there. Well, tonight, I put the needle in, started to push it in, and about 1/4inch out it hurt really bad. If I put any pressure to go in futher, it was a sharp pain, and my leg started to spasm. So I figured that 3/4'' was probably deep enough anyway, and I tried to push some of the oil in. Same reaction that I got from trying to push the needle in futher. Weird "serious" feeling pain and leg would jump and quiver around. I said fuck it and pulled the needle out, put a 1.5 on it and took it in the glute. It pissed me off because I don't enjoy jabbing holes into my leg muscles for the hell of it. Now I can feel it down in my leg where the pain was. Maybe something has been damaged, punctured, severed. Great. I've gotten alot of shots from the doctor over the course of my life. I can remember some being in the arm/shoulder, others in the glute. But for the life of me I can't once recall a doctor shoving a needle into the side of my thigh. Maybe there's a reason. Hope my delts and glutes are ready for the extra work, because my leg's short injection career has come to an end.

It sounds like you hit a nerve. I think there is a lot of confusion about how to properly inject in the quads. It really is one of the easiest and most painless places if it's done right. I know I went through my fair share of nerve taps, gushers and painful injections before I finally found the sweet spot.

Well alright then do tell us where that sweet spot is.

Put your hand flat on the top of your quad with your finger tips touching the top edge of your knee cap. Locate the area directly beneath your wrist. Go to the outside of the quad - midway between the centerline at the top and the centerline to the outside. For me - that's the sweet spot.

sounds like a bitch to do..lol.. I mentioned this activity to a doctor friend (who is in the hrt biz - so he wasn't freaked out or anything) and explained to him the first time i tried the quad and my leg freaked, almost passed out etc.. He was sorta shocked that guys enjoy injecting into their quads. He explained a lot to me - you know...all the important things that run throughout your legs - arteries, nervs, nerve sheethes (sp), etc, and pretty much..i don't go there..only one place for me...delts..

actually there are a number of sweet spot on the quad, on the upper outer quad especially.

let your leg loose, feel for the soft tissue spots. avoid the central line (which is where the primary nerve branch runs through).

Sparetire, it just shows you how many shots doctors actually give. It is one of the first spots they teach in nursing school, and the only place to give an injection on kids, from infancy to about 8 years old. If done right, the quad is an excellent site.

wow i just did this, and my poke hole is right there too....nice!

quads are virtually painless and not having to twist and contort and still being able to do 3cc is nice... glutes are a pain... in the ass

just did one last night, unless I am shooting ED I usually stick to glutes/delts...I forgot how easy & painless quads are

Hit the squat rack and pack some beef on your quads.... then report back to us with your quad injects.... should be much more pleasant! J/K

On a serious note, if your quads aren't very thick it will be difficult to get a nice, painless stick.

How about a pic with a circle around the sweet spot?

Im too much of a pussy to hit quads ! Ive been juicing for a little over a yr but give me time one day I probably will.. Right now its delts, bis, tri, pecs and glutes for me.. I am thinking about calves though. Sounds like it sucks from what Ive been reading..

I don't do quads. The sweetspot Macro mentions is easy to find - just prod for juicy meat - but I always suffered, starting the following day, as though I'd been hit with a baseball bat. Glutes and delts have been enough for me and the thought of having to use quads again is enough to keep me away from any cycle requiring ED injects.

Also, whenever I get a muscle twitch, I'm straight out of there in search of a spot that doesn't twitch. You can do without muscle damaging itself on a thin piece of metal.

Quad shots can be rough at times especially when you hit a nerve....lol I have gotten pretty used to them now until I shoot 2cc of some crippling prop into them,,,,,lmao And gimp aroung for 5 days

Another piece of info on quads and injections in general. Not going deep enough can cause the oil to build up and not dissipate quickly, which means more pain and risk for infection. Always assure the pin goes deep enough into the muscle!

1st and last quad shot was uncut UG prop (thought i was tough not cuttin it) I couldnt walk for over a week!
glutes, bis, tris, delts for this guy

Once over the virgin pain of a freshly injected muscle
quads are no issue what so ever if your in the right spot.
I know I take ~10-15 seconds just to insert a 23g 1" pin.

If there's a nerve in the way, you'll be able to feel it well
before any twitching comes on,just simply redirect the pin
slightly and insert the rest of the way.Jamming the pin in
the leg, leaves no choice but to deal with the nerve twitches
if your not in the sweet spot.So I agree..quads are easy IMO.

I have never hit a nerve in the quad. But I have to say that the whole muscle just gets tight from the injection. It's like a muscle response to being punctured, I guess. I can't seem to do any injections in the quads a day or two before working quads or it is just too tight and sort of hurts. But it is a general feeling in the whole quad. It's not nerve irritation.

Agreed. I place my index finger on my knee and and reach with my thumb. On the outside part between veins. That's my sweetspot. It's a pretty big spot to rotate with.

Take the nerve hit as a lesson on where you don't like to shoot LOL...I tried top of the quad once cuz a lot bros swear by it...not me LOL

well my quad experience was first 2 weeks ago, put it in, pulled it out, changed the needle, put it in pulled it out...fuck it, sounds like sex.

i tried it again yesterday, i sat on the toilet with my leg extended, i went on the outside mid thigh, i put the needle in slow, then all of a sudden my leg started tourettes syndrome, and i kept my hand steady while the muscle grabbed the needle and I actually watched the metal ben almost sideways! it psyched me the fuck out man..never again.

but im on 25ml in my ass in two and a half weeks, heh!

can i stick a 1 1/2" needle 1 inch in my delt ? marking an inch with a pen ?

sit on the floor or on your bed. you really dont want to inject into a flexed muscle anyway (which it would have to be if you were sitting on the toilet with your leg extended)

I wouldn't mark the needle with anything - it's not sterile.

You can trim the sheath to 1/2" long and put it back on the syringe.

never done a quad inject. seems like it would hurt jabbing ur self like that.

afterall i like takin it in the butt... :rainbow:

Yeah, kids get vaccines in the quads, but are they subq? Or in the muscle?

What a doctor might do and where he might choose to inject is only minimally relevant to us other than showing where the 'safe' spots are. They're not jabbing you several times a week.

Last time I went to the doctor, he drew blood from a vein in my arm. It bruised up and ached for a week. When I went back he was about to do the same again and seemed put out when I asked whether he minded doing the other side since I still had bruising from the previous one.

It seems pretty clear: we each have our favourite pain-free spots and they differ from person to person. I've never had an uncomfortable glute shot, ever, yet every quad shot I've done has felt like I required healing time. Equally, guys on here complain of not being able to sit for a week after a glute shot yet jab their quads with gay abandon.

I find quad shots hurt right at the start - while trying to break the skin. The skin seems a lot tougher and more sensitive than for glute or delt shot. Once the needle's in, though, quad shots don't hurt me. They've become my standard spot, mostly because the area is so large (and because I have too much scar tissue in my glutes & delts).

i think my problem is these shitty pins from a place that will remain nameless......fucking crooked & dull.

hit up my quad again, painless

i wish i could use them all the time now =]
i just tried 3 times and either hit a nerve or the pin wouldn't pop thru, the fuckers are sticking inside my leg, too...

I’m about ready to tri a Tricepts injection today, glutes are killing me, my delts have to be soggy with qear everyday, so I’m looking at tircepts and lats,

tris, pecs and traps are perfect. easier than delts.

I'm getting that too with torumo or whatever the fuck the name is. might be hitting scar tissue, but I never got that with BD

anybody: does it matter glute or quad as to how long to actually push tru the oil? I've always done quads only, and it takes for fucking ever (this may be a dupe post).

my pins are from andro, don't know what brand they are. Mava: i think the slower, smoother you go, the better. unless somene else is giving you the shot, then they can ram it. but it's hard to keep from shaking when taking a long time.

Just did a tricept injection, 1 iinch x 25 g and injected 100mg Tren Ace

About 1000 times better than any quad injection,

So now, I have Delts, Glutes, Triceps

May try lats (how do you reach your lat) and calves.

I GOT TURANOMO'S 1.5 INCH 23GA...

i noticed last night it did take 2 pokes, as the first one didnt seem to break the skin....BUT i also didnt swap needles after getting the oil out so it could have dulled it

ALWAYS use a separate pin for drawing (you can re-use it several times (or more- not reccomended), though place back in the shield and place in the wrapper you took the new syringe from (the smaller one you are using-ie a new clean and sterile package)).

some people say use a freah pin for drawing (and they are cheap), but its not a necessity.

I used to inject my fiance often and the quad shots, done in the right spot, were usually painless...until the next day. Anything with a high BA content left him almost unable to walk downstairs for two days.
