Thanks QT and Bunny! I will most certainly do that....

but everytime I try to post after a post...it tells me I have to wait like 600 seconds to post again? That is a long time!
That is bizzare? 600 or 60 lol

You're too quick girl :)

I was thinking we need a thread set aside to get to know one another a bit. Everyone can share as little or as much as they would like to introduce themselves.

My real name is Sulma, just turned 21 last month and am originally from Mexico. I"ve lived in the suburbs of Atlanta Georgia since I was 6 years old. I'm a fulltime billing clerk in an outpatient alcohol and drug treatment center, and a 3/4 time student. I'm just starting my third year and still havent decided on a major. And I just celebrated 16 months with the same guy, which is a huge thing for me, LOL.

Next.....:D

Hi Girls,

Newbie to this forum. My real name is Jennifer and I'm a 43 year old mother of 2 girls, 11 and 14 year old. Have been back into lifting since the beginning of February of this year and have managed to lose 17 lbs of fat and can now tolerate the way I look. Just nicely hitting a plateau though.
Does anyone else ever get confused on how much or little you should be eating. Just curious.

Hola Jennifer. :)

I'm guessing when you say "how much" you should be eating you're referring to the number of calories? If so, it makes it far easier to just plan a week's worth of meals in advance, where you have already counted the calories, then just keep recycling those same meals. Removes the need for daily counting. To maintain the reduced weight you're at now you could probably eat about 200-300 more daily than you did while losing fat.

You might want to check out the diet forum too.

Thanks for the good advice.

Still need to lose 10lbs though ( well at least I think it's 10) I'm only 5ft 6inches so I don't think I should be more than 130 to 135, even though muscle weighs more than fat.

My name is Jen too. I recently joined and am looking for assistance in lowering bf (23%) and especially "something" to keep me motivated. I have two daughters 10 and 15 who also like to workout. Before i left my hubby of 17 years we purchased a home gym and free weights so when he left with his little 20 yr old hunny, i kept the house and the equipment - lol.

Hi,

I have been lurking around here for a while and finally decided to post. I am married with no kids. I have a day job and I also bellydance professionally on the weekends. I also do Hula and other ethnic dances. I decided to get back into lifting since my weight/bodyfat has been creeping up since I was 35 years old. The dancing alone just isn't cutting it anymore. I use to lift during my college days and do martial arts. Now all I have been doing in dancing. I have been researching on all the new diet and fitness information and want to start a lo-carb/lifting program. I'll be signing up for the gym next week. I got a ton of info from this site! I'll post my diet/training log with my stats in the training section once I start (next week). This place is the best!
