Hello. I've been on here for quite some time now-
have been through a lot of changes (all good ones)...
I'm still in PA- however, I do have family in Manassas and Fredericksburg whom i visit occasionally- was thinking of relocating there since the job situation/ economic outlook here in PA is not that great...
I've been to Old Town Alex- it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited! Nice to meet you- and everyone else, too. :)
 
hi, I'm new here (captain obvious to the rescue) 25, married a month, work for a healthcare org. Been working out steady for 2 yrs, got sick, and I keep gaining weight , just started taking birth control in April, and have put on 10 lbs since then. Started lurking on here, and just ordered some T-rex and cardio breeze, this site has really motivated me, and I'm ready to bust the door down to get to the gym today :)

hey, I'm glad you've joined us. :):) there's a tremendous amount of archived fitness related information in the women's discussion forum. I believe there are "stickied" threads at the top of that forum to get you started.
 
Hi everyone I'm new here. I'm getting back on track with myself. I think I let being a mom be an exuse to not take care of me. Wake up call,took a good hard look at myself in the mirror naked :worried: ,I couldn't believe I let myself go like that. So enough crying about and get moving already,right. LOL I started reading all I could get my hands on about diet and nutrtion and then started making changes not just for me but my whole family. We started eating more fresh fruits,veggies,leaner meats,less sweets,more whole grains and drinking alot more water. I then joined the local ymca and now I'm hooked. I love working out. I've never seriously lifted b/c of the myth of women bulking up :rolleyes: . Now I am watching my diet I'm eating 5 to 6 small meals a day and drinking about a gallon of water daily and lifting on a regular basis. I have just in the past few days or so redid the workout to break it up some I do my shoulders,biceps,triceps and fore arms on one day along with ab work and cardio,the next day I do chest and back work again I work my abs and cardio,then my lower body,abs and cardio. I am at 172 lbs now at 5 ft 6 inches,I've lost 10 lbs and 2 sizes so far. It's working and I'm feeling a lot better now than before. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better.

New to working out. Started in February and have gone from a size 12 to a 5/6 (Sorry, I hate scales). My goal size is 3 since I am only 4'11 and I am hoping to achieve greater definition of muscle and tone all over. A friend from my gym told me about this site so here I am LOL

Hola Sherri, I'm glad you found the place. The woman's fitness forum has been in operation for about 5 years now and has a giant amount of archived information. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the drop down boxes that allow you to go back and view the older threads. Please ask questions and share your own knowledge as well. :)
