I apologize for the time it took me to look into the situation, but here is my understanding of what happened to Galaxy and what I have done about it. I appreciate your patience and understanding, but I wanted to get the facts straight before I posted.
It appears that one of our Mods posted fake pics as his own. Not really the worst thing in the world, but not the most honorable thing either. Galaxy discovered this and pointed it out to our members which upset this mod.
On or around the same time, Galaxy also discovered that one of our members was a drug dealer and that not only was he dealing, but that he was also scamming members on the site. The dealer was promptly banned. Unfortunately, angry that his postings about the fake pictures were suppressed, he became overzealous in his accusations to the point of insinuating that EliteFitness.com was in some ways involved with this dealer.
This led to our making the mistake of giving him a prolonged "time out" while we looked into everything that was going on. Galaxy was never banned, instead, he was put temporarily on everyone's ignore list - he could post, but you could not see his posts. This was our mistake - not only in doing this hastily, but also is leaving him there for too long. Regardless, he should not have made insinuations about us that are completely unfounded.
A couple years ago, I was supposedly connected to the FEDS. Absolutely not true - this one comes along every couple of years. Now, EF is supposedly connected to a dealer. Again, absolutely not true. How silly would it be for me to turn to selling drugs when I make a good living selling Karma and Platinum

We spoke with Galaxy on the phone today and asked him to rejoin our community. We apologized for the prolonged time out. And he apologized for any inaccurate insinuations. We gave him a complimentary two month Platinum Membership and he told us that he is so glad to be back that he will certainly continue as a paying Platinum Member once his two complimentary months are up as he always generously did in the past.
Here is a little into on how I have instructed our Mods to use their power. First, only our Admins, digger, BRR, and me can ban a Platinum Member. Mods have no banning authority over Plats. Only three Mods have the ability to ban a regular member: Manny, Pamela, Velvett. All of our Mods and Admins know that there needs to be a consensus of three Mods in order to ban a regular member. In the case of Galaxy, this instruction was not followed and consequently, he was inappropriately put on time out. None of the other Mods have banning authority - although they can make recommendations. We also pay close attention to the recommendations of our new Chairman Members.
Please accept my apologies for the mistakes and confusion and I hope that everyone feels that the situation was resolved satisfactorily.
