The brand-new new music thread

Soilwork - The Chainheart Machine
The guitar harmonies in the first song alone blow away everything I've ever heard from the band.

Let me know what you think of the rest of the album. Don't get me wrong, I like their newest album as well as the last one, but I think Predator's Portrait and Natural Born Chaos are superior. I'd be interested in hearing some even older stuff. I have heard a couple songs from Steel Bath Suicide and didn't really like it.

Released tomorrow and I have on order and awaiting delivery:

Six Feet Under - 13
Overkill - Relixiv

Very good CD. Has a very ... Colony-era In Flames aura about it. Definitely sounds like the melodic death metal from a few years ago. Speed's vocals often sound like Anders from In Flames, and at times Jens Kidman from Meshuggah. As I said, the guitars are great. Solos are plentiful and impressive.

I think I like Natural Born Chaos the best, but Chainheart Machine is very high on the list too. But it depends on what kind of music you enjoy. Later Soilwork releases sometimes rely on melody, whereas this one utilizes it. All depends on your taste in music. Next time I catch you on AIM I'll throw a couple tracks your way.
