Brady Bill II
after the Brady Bill was passed, the brady campaign drunk with the illusion of their power came up with the Brady Bill II, which was introduced by Senator Metzenbuam as his last act before he retired. below is the actual bill
http://www.firearmsandliberty.com/brady2.html
This bill had it all:
National licensing/registration
Requirement to prove need to recieve Handgun license.
No limit on fees for license.
Requirement for training prior to recieving a handgun license.
Requirement for license to not only transfer handguns, but ammunition and handgun reloading materials. This included private sales.
National limit of one handgun per month.
Requirement for federal "Arsenal License" to possess more than 20 firearms or more than 1000 rounds of ammunition with the same requirements as an FFL holder.
Criminal penalties for failure to report a theft or loss of a handgun within 24 hours.
Loss of firearm ownership priviledged when convcited of or under indictment for any violent offense.
Substancial price increase for FFL and increased scrutiny on FFL records.
Restriction and requirements pertaining to receivers applied to barrel, stock, magazines, and any part of the action.
Permanant ban of all title I weapons as well as the ban on any transfer of existing weapons which would be destroyed at the death of the owner. Semiautomatic Assault weapons as well as "Saturday Night Specials". Saturday Night specials are very widely defined by size ans caliber, so basically there would be no pocket pistols period.
High capacity magazines were banned that contained more than 6 rounds.
All tracer, AP, 50 BMG, handgun ammo greater than 45 caliber or more powerful than 1200 ft/lbs. power at the muzzle.
and these people say they dont want to ban guns...
