The Biggest Supplement Scam Yet

No surpise. It comes from our friends at MUSCLETECH.

The product is called APLODAN and, get this, it "revitalizes dormant muscle cells."

At least it's a cute angle. Gotta love it.

There are essentially two active ingredients in this stuff and man they have some long ass names -- too long to even print. I mean, it's like thirteen letters and several numbers each. I guess nobody really knows what these amazing chemicals are so, who knows? Maybe it DOES activate dormant muscle fibers! (After all, it's endorsed by Jay Cutler who swears it's what gave him the extra edge to win the Olympia).

Well, save yourself the curiosity. The first twenty syllable ingredient is nothing but creatine with a couple of aminos and baking soda. (Yes... baking soda). You see, if you use the chemical name for something and add another substance it takes on this long complicated title. But that's what it is.

The second ingredient is the chemical term for alpha lipoic acid.

Creatine and ALA. That's what will make all the difference.

Eighty bucks.

we already know that b4 mt pushes APLODAN to the market.

but the question is why bash competitors instead of reducing your skyrocketing prices.

Okay, here we go.

First off, it's not a bash. It's heads up. The company is doing something underhanded and a lot of people may throw down the $ because they think the product is something new and want to try it.

Secondly... skyrocket prices? Dude, you're high.

BIG BLAST is the most advanced gainer on the market -- spray dried plasma protein/ whey isolate/ NO 2/hydrolyzed rice syrup/ creatine P12/omega 3's... and it goes for $14.80 a pound! That's less than some crap whey concentrate MRP!

Knock offs of UNLEASHED are more expensive and less complete.

ZIP contains desicatted thyroid (T4 and T3) -- find that in some other supplement.

POST CYCLE can take the place of Viagra for a fraction of the cost.

The only product that's kinda pricy is the multi DX7, but that's because it has stuff like Beta Glucan which is very expensive. We could have put some crap window dressing ingredients in there like Animal Pak but it wouldn't be as good. And it's about the same price as Animal Pak anyway.

So I don't get where you're coming from. By the way, I'm not familiar with the prices of all the Protein Factory prices so if you think something in particular is outrageous, let me know.

Y'know, I was considering a mini-flame, albeit a more relevant (what does his criticizing others' supplements have to do with his prices?), subtle, and cleverly worded one, but decided against it. Most of us know how to see through supplement industry BS, but given how many people who are new to fitness/supplements come across the site, Nelson probably prevented at least a few of them from blowing $80 on this stuff at GNC.

the most advanced gainer should not contain only high GI carbs or fast

absorbing carbs (19% dextrose & 15% hrs). both are good but mainly post

workout. An advanced gainer should contain slow diesting carbs like oats.

why only fast absorbing protein? (no casein)

If i'd go by the recommended dose it would only last me 10 days & 1 week for

Advanced Athletes.

very underdosed ingredients 10 mgs r-ALA & 250 mgs Arginine. by the way

na-rala is more potent.

proteinfactory.com said:
The CLA powder Protein Factory offers, has a

concentration of 64% which makes it by far the most concentrated CLA

powder on the market..

why not have softgels with 80% potent instead of this powder.

true

by the way im not saying mt is all good but im saying some of their products do work

for certain people despite the prices.

on the other hand PF.com is reputable place still they need to renew some of their

ingredients & lower their prices.

You said "instead of reducing," implying that there was somehow a tradeoff between taking the time to post a criticism of Muscletech and reducing his prices (which obviously isn't the case). And whether or not his products are overpriced has no bearing on the truth of the claim that this product is overpriced given how cheaply its ingredients can be purchased individually from numerous other companies.

I agree... and I reserve the right for future Nelson bashing, but letting people know that a product is a bunch of overpriced already existing products in disguised, in clear and concise language... can't hate on that. Because some 15 year old is going to ask about that supplement this summer getting ready for football season..I guarantee.

...........................................................................................

BIG BLAST IS BEST USED PRE AND POST WORKOUT, IN WHICH CASE THE HIGH GLY CARBS WORK WELL FOR BOTH ENERGY AND SHUTTLING THE NUTRIENTS INTO THE MUSCLES. AS FOR SLOW ABSORBING PROTEIN, THERE'S PLENTY OF FOOD THAT DOES THAT AND SHOULD BE A PRIORITY WHEN ON A BULKING CYCLE. BESIDES, THE CARBS MAKE IT TASES GREAT! AND IT'S LIGHT (ESPECIALLY IF YOU USE THE FRUIT FLAVORS WITH JUICE OR WATER) SO YOU WON'T FEEL TOO STUFFED TO EAT.

If i'd go by the recommended dose it would only last me 10 days & 1 week for

Advanced Athletes.

............................................................................

THAT'S ONLY IF YOU WANT A SERIOUS T4/T3 BOOST, OTHERWISE, A NORMAL DOSING WILL LAST A MONTH.

...................................................................................

very underdosed ingredients 10 mgs r-ALA & 250 mgs Arginine. by the way

............................................................

NOW YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY JUST TRYING TO BE DIFFICULT. THOSE ARE JUST TWO INGREDIENTS!!! THEY'RE MEANT TO BOOST THE MAIN INGREDIENTS. YOU CAN'T JUDGE A PRODUCT BY THAT. POST CYCLE HAS 3 ANTI E'S , 3 LIBIDO ENHANCERS, 3 LIVER DETOXIFIERS AND SOMETHING FOR ED. NONE OF WHICH YOU MENTIONED. COME ON DUDE, BE FAIR.

.................................................

na-rala is more potent.
..........................

IT HAS MORE R-ALA AND THAT'S IT. IS THIS ULTER?

.................................................................

why not have softgels with 80% potent instead of this powder.

CAN'T TELL YA BRO, AIN'T MY PRODUCT.

OTHER THAN THAT, HOPE THIS CLEARED THINGS UP.
