Testosterone Replacement age 35 and older

Hey guys have some good info. I am 36 ,6'4, 219 pounds and had a 38 in waist. I was getting concerned with the way I was feeling. Needed a nap everyday, libido was changing, harder to get motivated and was not able to focus. I ordered a blood test to measure all of my hormone levels. The tests came back and everything was good except for my total testosterone. It was at 540. The company I ordered the blood test through gave me a list of doctors in my area that practice "anti-aging" or male andropause.
To a normal physician 540 is good and they would do nothing but a anti-aging doc wants the test levels to be in the range at what they were when I was in my late 20's (650-900). Reason for this is because at 30 you begin producing less testosterone. AT age 40+ men start getting high cholesterol, high blood pressure, fat, and diabetes. If you put back in what you had you live a much better life on a emotional and physical sense.
The doc asked if I wanted gel or injections. I chose injections. He started me at 1/2cc or 100mg a week for 20 weeks. My total test raised to 660 but no real physical changes. I was working out 4 times a week. My weight was 225 and my waist was a 36. The doc suggested that I double my dose to a full cc or 200 mg of test cyp per week. I went back after 12 weeks and my total test was 1045. I weigh 240 and have a 34 in waist.
Huge diffrences from 100mg to 200mg. I feel fantastic on a mental or emotional basis. My sex drive is through the freakin roof. I'm able focus at work and my competitive spirit is back. Physically, the love handles and lower back chub has melted away. I'm begginning to put on some good muscle.
If your 35 and older go do it! It's legit and easy!

dont you worry bout having to give self injections every wk in your 60s and 70s?

Are you taking anything to prevent your endogenous test production from shutting down? If not, aren't you concerned about that? Are you done having kids?

Dude, you feel better because you're cycling. Your T was fine. 35 is too young for HRT.

I dont necessarily agree that your Test levels are "Fine". Every person reacts and requires varying test levels to achieve there own level of whats considered normal bodily activity. At age 35 yes indeed your test levels have been in decline for a few years now. I recently had a full lab work up done and EVERYTHING from urine to liver enzymes to Cholesterol were perfect except Test levels. My total test levels came in at 230. Now that is on the very low end of the spectrum. I will be 40 next year and by any metrics qualify for HRT. So, if your lucky enough to have Test prescribed, Im sure your Dr has and or will explain how to cycle properly.

Even at 35, you're much better off cycling it. Spend about 8-10 weeks at that dose, then take 8-10 weeks off. Use some HCG during your weeks off to get yourself restarted on your own.

I could write a long post explaining why you should do it. If you'd consider the advice, just let me know.

Why is 35 too young for HRT?

Because you're giving in before you have to. You can still cycle and still produce enough natural T to feel vital, strong and sexually charged. You'll also make better gains if you produce your own T. So why shut it off? If you must, you must. But if your T is near 600 (and you get it even higher with UNLEASHED and HCGenerate) there's no need to mess with it.

Why is 35 too young for HRT?

At 35, you want to help your endocrine system alone by periodically giving it a shot of extra testosterone -- not replace your entire production.

Cycling off periodically lets your system reset itself. Your body makes all sorts of adjustments while on-cycle (DHT, Estrogen, Cortisol) -- that time off allows the entire system to return to normal.

Yes I'm done having kids but how does one naturally increase their test levels? How does HCG help? Also, if optimum is 600 plus for total test and I was at 540 is there away to supplement naturally to maintain levels in 600+

Nelson/Mrplunkey,

No disrespect intended but due to my own "abuse" of said AAS the endo has put me on HRT as I havent recovered in 9 months even after proper pct 2x... I am only 24 but its better then feeling how I was the past 9 months with no drive,depressed,impotent,etc...

I'm sorry to hear that.

I bet Nelson would have some great ideas on how to get restarted. I normally just use HCG and start back fine.

At 35 there's little point in risking sterility for the sake of vanity, especially when you can achieve the same results by cycling.

If the doc recommended it, then that's what you have to do. But i'll bet at your age you could recover, if you wanted to. And if you did it right. But no doubt, you'll feel like crap for a while.

This is probably a stupid question but what does being on TRT have to do with having kids? Are you sterile while you're on a cycle also?

Im 32 and was put on trt at 200mg per week. My total test was in the high 200's.and I felt like shit. i dont give a crap if Im on it for the rest of my life..I also have to take synthroid for the rest of my life because my thyroid was removed due to cancer. After my thyroid surgery I felt like shit and just figured it was my thyroid hormones out of whack, but once my thyroid levels were up to normal I still felt awful..then checked my test levels and went on trt. I feel 100% better after going on testosterone. I have to take a pill everyday for the rest of my life, so I figure whats the big deal of taking a shot once a week

No thyroid at all and you don't need any T3?

I'm 58 and not on TRT ,I have used HGregenerate and unleashed and feel great,i believe this is a must in freeing natural levels.

You know I wondered the same thing and still do actually. My endo says all you need is t4 and your body will convert what it needs into t3. Ive read ALOT of comments from people that have had their thyroid removed and was prescribed t4 only and never felt good at all and when they switch to a brand that has both t3, t4 they feel much better.
I asked my endo and he is set on synthroid only...I may go to a different endo and get a second opinion
