I'm currently addicted to "Chiller," the (primarily) 80's slasher channel available on Direct TV. with access to back episodes of "Tales from the Crypt," "Twin Peaks," etc., everything else seems to pale by comparison.

my wife and I were talking about this last night actually. What I came up with is this;
For a major network television show to air a series that, in all honesty, could have been a SciFi Channel series, the higher ups must have had a really good feeling about it.
They must have also received very good responses from the pilot.
I'm gonna give it a try just because of that. I probably wouldn't watch it if it were aired on a less prominent channel.
Fox is taking a major risk but taking major risks is the reason they joined the "big 3" way back when they started

I don't know. As soon as I saw her say "come with me if you want to live" I just got all cheesified. It was okay in the first, great when Arnie said it in the 2nd and then just got killed in the 3rd. Give up the cheesy lines already and just blow shit up.

Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on Sunday night premiered to 18.3 million total viewers and was broadcast television's highest-rated scripted series debut in three years among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. (Among total viewers it was the highest in almost two years.) It was also Fox's highest-rated scripted series debut in over seven years among 18- to 49-year-olds (since Dark Angel, Oct. 2000) and in eight years in total viewers.

Some of the dialog was so cheesy, and why didn't they use another buff guy for the Terminator? I will finish watching the finish from last night then i'm over it.

They also had an exact rip off of the predator leg wound repair scene up in the tree from the first one. The rest of the movie is a mix of Dawsons Creek and rehashed action/effects from AVP, only shittier.

Both Predator *repair* scenes were ripped from Arnold's eye surgery bathroom scene in Terminator. Predator 2 appropriated a load of p-r-o-p/scenes from Aliens. In fact, look at any sci-fi b grade in the last 20 years and you pretty much have parallel plot points and characters to Cameron's Terminator series and Aliens contribution. He's a great filmmaker, still prefer McTiernan though
