Acting is decent. Story is decent. Execution is not so good and trhe ending is horrible.

Maybe. All execs care, is about the HOOPLA. Majority of the money for a film is made within the first week. So even if the movie sucks shit, if eveyr kid goes to watch it and it hits $100M in it's first week -- it's a success. I think we all know movies built on "hoopla" and everyone sees it, and it sucks ass.
Studios don't care, as long as it makes #1 and big bucks at the box office. Well, they do care a bit. Cuz a shitty movie will result in crappy DVD sales later on. But right now, being #1 and blowing box office records are what's key.
Sad I know. Lots of fantastic movies aren't "blockbuster" enough, so they win some film festivals, then get rave reviews, then stuck at blockbuster or hbo at 3 in the morning. Slumdog Millionaire was an exception, and it also almost went straight to the DVD shelf before someone yelled "Hey what a minute".

the movie sucked!
it was way too long & the last 30 minutes couldve been cut- really dragged on. onthe plus side- Christian Bale was great

Is that "Great" as in he played really well or "Great" as in he's so super dreamy delicious that I wanted to take care of it right there in the theater??
I'm really not trying to be a snot, I've just found that when there's a good looking actor involved, women tend to look past some of the most absolute blazing pieces of stank ass movies. lol

hahaha.. yeah i know what you mean. but, truthfully, he was pretty decent in this movie- screamed & yelled & ordered everyone around...just like his off-screen personality (didnt he beat up his sister & mother & was screaming @ some camera guy during filming?).
not a fun guy in real life & this role really fits him, but the movie as a whole was bad.
The reviews aren't all bad, but mostly bad. It scored 33% fresh (or 67% rotten) on the tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes.

Yep. He's the only one you kind of give a shit about.
Bale was disappointing and I usually really like that fucker.
