tanning tips...?

Tanning Pills

Try Trisoralen or Oxoralen. Prescription stuff. Very effective but can be very dangerous. Take precautions.

somebody said that everytime you shave your chest or your arms.. you are removing a layer of skin as well... depleting your tan... any truth to that?

Your not removing your skin, but you are removing dead skin cells and exfoliating, so in a way, yes you are removing skin. This happens with shaving or just showering. You can't "shower" away a real tan. Eventually you will lose your tan, but not because you just shaved or showered.

Always I repeat Always use a tanning lotion when you go in the tanning bed. It prevents your skin from drying out and gives you between 50 and 80 more tan depending on which lotion you use. A good bottle at the salon will cost 40 to 60 dollars. but order online and it is a ot cheaper.

Use a lotion with a high *tingle factor* (3) The best ones are Jean Abaté (formerly Swedish Beauty) etc. They stimulate the skin and you turn kind of red immediately after tanning, but it goes away. I find it helps with a deeper color for those who have trouble tanning, like me (blonde, fair skinned)

Instant Sun Burn

Kind of off base but if you ever need to look like you have a bad sun burn take a couple of grams of niacin on an empty stomach. The initial side effect is that if feels like you're being attached by fire ants. That goes away in about 15 minutes. The redness lasts for about 4 hours.

Cozmo-its summertime-go to the beach-lol! Nothing looks better than a natural tan. Get one of the products that have a moderate SPF with a dye in it. The combination does wonders. There was one that was manufactured by Neutrogena or Clinique-don't remember.

Go to Jones Beach Field 4 on Long Island if you want to hang out with the "bodyheads" or Field 6 if you want to get more of an "all-over" tan.
