i have a relative who was in greece just recently. she bought a newspaper for 90 euro cents (.9 euro). along with the newspaper, they gave her a copy of that movie 3 Kings, with a greek cover. greek cover, greek warning, but everything else normal. for 90 euro cents. apparently that sort of thing is normal, and you often get movies, documentaries, cartoons etc etc along with your newspaper.

meanwhile, you go to a shop to buy a coke and you need 2 euro.

My thoughts exactly.. I thought it was a cool thread.. for those who may understand, who have traveled around Europe, and know when a Coke is two euro's its like your paying 3 dollars for a 20 oz coke..


Little off subject.. The impact of global corporation's on the world.. Who ever heard of a Kentucky Fried Chicken in France.. Why on earth would you want to eat.. Kentucky Fried Chicken in France... Instead of decently healthy side options like green beans, or things you can get with it in the US.. You get Chips(Fries) and a pint of Ice Cream with your meal in France.. No wonder France has a higher rate of people becoming obese than the United States.. We're more obese as a whole, but France is slowly catching up, while they keep bitching about us being fat.

Ha yes.. I know this.. I wrote a 40 page thesis on the affects of globalization through the first world, through the third.. I could of probably wrote my own book.. But it was only for 4 credits.

No.. Senior Thesis for Undergrad.. Seminar paper.. what not.. I easily could of wrote 400 pages.. But with a thesis, your pretty much using all the references anyways, so I would of just been repeating what any other knowledgeable person on the topic had known. I had to read through about 4 huge French books for it to count for my French major as well. I didn't mention that. Since I was a French major as well as International Business, I had to write 10 of the pages in French on globalization in France. Man that sucked.
