Taking L-Glutamine while on cycle a waste?

Whats up everyone =D. I was wondering if taking certain supplements like L-Glutamine is a waste of time while on a cycle considering what the gear does lol. I take that a long with a multi-vitamin, amino acids, and milk thistle.

most gear really only causes a very narrow scope of physiologic changes, all a bit different, albeit really effective. So, there is nothing that should be changed except as as a consequence of the gear (e.g drinking/liver support/red rice yeast or some sort of cholesterol support/diet/sleep). The only real concern is if you get artificial pumps from various supps and you are talking something that is notorious for pumps, well then that's a no brainer. Same goes for things that send your BP to the moon. If you are prone to high RBC issues-propecia can break up existing RBCs and keep the count down a bit (but very controversial/off label use)

The way I now take stand a lone glutamine is I save it for my killer workouts or when my schedule will not allow me to be really sore.

I will dose it 'HIGH' like 30g a day to prevent that run down feeling.

For daily use I now feel that whey2buildmuscle has enough good stuff in it that I dont need it. My diet is also very rich in good foods.. pro/fat/carbs.. took a while to get here but I think it all helps.

Great post by eddy; very well stated.

I don't always use glutamine, but here's an interesting reason to think about using it, too -- keeping the ph balance of your body in line. Proteins are going to be highly acidic and vegetables and fruits are more basic. What do us bodybuilders eat a ton of? Protein. Hopefully we get plenty of fruits and vegetables, too, but if not, this is another way to help shift things back toward a balanced ph. That's obviously not the only reason to take glutamine, but it helps.

Some glutamine power chews are a great way for me to have a snack, aid a bit in recovery and also help shift my ph balance back in check with the ridiculous amount of protein I eat in relation to everything else.

I dont think you can ever go wrong supplementing with L-Glutamine.
