Taking a week off during a cycle

I am on my first cycle of test e and I am at week 7 of 10 weeks. Everything is going great, but this week I feel over trained. I usually take one week off every 8-10 weeks, but I am currently on week 12 without a break.

I wanted to get through week 10 and take a week off after my last injection, but I don't want my last few weeks of workouts to be uninspired. I also have a few nagging injuries from my new found strength that could use some rest.

I would not, these last few weeks are where all the gains happen! Keep pushin yourself, you should ne iching every day to get into the gym and kill it!!

take the time off.

if you cant go to the gym 100% ready physically and mentally than what is the point in going?

my first cycle i felt like a god at the gym maybe because all people look when you're training hard and lifting big weights.
why are you unispired? how bad are the injuries?

I am inspired, just physically tired. Injury wise, my left shoulder is a little tweaked from lifting too heavy. It feels weak and a little sore. Same with my left knee from squatting much more than usual.

i disagree strongly here.... if he is feeling pain from lifting heavy it is probably better to rest than to risk a more serious injury...
just keep eating right, that is where 90% of your gains come from anyways....

take a week off...i do it all the time and it makes you feel refreshed

Ahh, didn;t see that! try a few days off at first, if still some bothering then rest some more.

a little time off might help your gains if you're overtrained. the downside of taking the time off is minimum. the downside of overtraining and even injury could be huge. if you're stuck in the middle you could follow the routine with light weight for a week to stay active while recovering.

Yeah, I lifted Monday, took today off, and will probably take tomorrow too. I want to try and salvage the week and get back on Thursday and Friday.
