The CO for both men was George Elliot. Neither Kerry nor Thurlow wrote anything. Kerry was nominated by the man he rescued, Jim Rassman. Elliot just received the nomination/citation, whatever it's called and approved/disapproved. In both these cases, he obviously approved.

This must mean that someone on Thurlow's swiftboat nominated him and included the language about being under fire, just like Jim Rassman did for Kerry. Likely one of the Swiftboat veterans for truth.........lol

If that isn't enough for you, find out who wrote the recommendation for Thurlow that contains the same language about being under fire. If it was anybody other than Kerry or Rassman, that's the nail in the coffin and Thurlow and his buddies are proven to be lying sacks of politically motivated shit.
