injection spot is swelling after 400 mg of eq. this is my 6th week of eq and the 5th and 6th week, it started to swell and itch on the injection site.

5th week was on upper right buttucks 6th week on the left. and yes it is red, lumped up and warm. needle is 1 and a half inches, i put the needle in about 1 inch. i did not jam it straight down into it, i went from the side and drew the eq into the meat of my ass.

drop a couple benadryl tabs and rub on some benadryl cream. . .always works for me. . .

I use a heating pad and massage the area throughout the day.

I've never had a problem with EQ so keep an eye on it. If it gets real bad see a doc.

Not to say you did anything wrong, but I bury my 1 1/2 in my ass because I want it to go deep into the muscle..... never once have I had redness or heat within the site.

Take advantage of the 1 1/2 inches and bury it..... sounds like the oil might have "leaked" a little into the tissue outside the muscle.

If you go with the full 1.5" it really doesn't matter, except obviously if you go at an extreme angle. I go at an angle that is comfortable and easy for me to inject. Trying to go straight in at the thickest part can be complicated, I had to have my wife push the plunger for me last week because I reached back too far and was moving the pin all over the place trying to get my finger on the plunger. My ass was sore for a week.
