Sust Diet

Hey all...

About to start my first cycle of sust 500 for 10 weeks.

Can you all suggest some example diets that would keep my calorie intake high but at the same time, not fill me up with garbage?

I'm 6'2" and 225 right now. So based on that, to get the most out of my cycle, how many calories should I be taking in to where its enough to grow but not too much to where I start storing fat like a bloatus? I'm thinking 3500+? Is that about right? I can store fat very quick. My metabolism is a son of a bitch and holds onto everything.

I plan on at least 6 meals a day with 2 or so MRPs thrown in. What are some good, high calorie foods that you all eat to reach your intake levels for the day? I want to stay away from high calorie foods that are bad for you such as fast foods and shit like that. I want to keep my diet as clean as possible but I want to be sure I take in the right amount to grow. Thanks for any suggestions and advice!

bro think "steak & eggs," and you'll do yourself well.

seriously, buy lean thin steaks, like for braciolle (sp?), or sandwich steaks. they're usually eye round or top round, but they are VERY thin and usually very lean. i put a little low-sodium soy sauce on them and put them in the broiler. have approximately 8oz (1/2 lb) of that along with 2 or 3 eggs, 2 or 3 times per day. other than that eat brown rice, unsweetened yogurt, fruit, vegetables, flax oil (or avocado), zero carb protein shakes, and you should have plenty of protein, plenty of good fats, and a moderate amount of good carbs in there as well.

the main meals are plenty of lean steak and eggs though. with sustanon and if your training is on, you can't possibly not grow with that diet!!!

bump on what 40 said!!!

try to plan your diet out so you wont fall short.. if your training is good and intense then you dont want diet to hold you back..

eat at least 1.5 grams of protein per lb of body weight, get enough good fats and then add as much carbs as you need to recover and to fuel your workouts.. watch carbs IF you are butting on too much fat.. but make sure its fat not bloat and then i would cut the night time carbs back first...

if you are trying to bulk then aim for around 20 cals per lb of body weight but this can vary drastically..

good luck

Thanks and Karma to the both of you!!

One quick question...

So since I'm 225, I'm thinking during my cycle since I want to bulk I'll be needing around 5000 calories. This being divided between 5-6 meals, how am I going to reach 1000 calories per meal?? What foods to you all eat to reach such goals? Can any of you give some example foods that would help me attain these values?
Steak and eggs the entire time?

Thanks all!

CARBS are not the enemy..........too many people have fallen into the carb feat..............get your protein in.........1.5-2g.........eat some solid carbs, yams, sweet potatoes, oats, brown rice.....toss in some 1% cottage cheese and milk.........eggs, MRPs, whatever it takes..........then once a week, have a treat.....enjoy a pizza or whatever......you'll be cool.....excess will come off in a few months.........

I agree with Jkurz...I don't and never have "counted calories" while bulking or dieting. Eat good foods, and treat yourself once in a while to keep from going crazy.

Also agree with 40, Steak and eggs....Lots of Tuna, chicken, Salmon, and Stew beef.

I don't count calories but I do count PT. I am @ 245# and I shoot for 300g PT. Sometimes I fall a bit short, sometimes I go over. But I also usually have 2 shakes that are 65g PT each and my PW shake that is about 40g PT

damn good info guys, its hard to get protien 250-300 w/out shakes. i guess 3 cans of tuna ed would help too. along with 3 meals from chicken and steak

carbs are definitely not your enemy, however, you have be careful to not start filling your day with them. imo it takes a little more effort to eat protein first, then fats, and then carbs, when prioritizing, but it's well worth it in terms of getting big and eating clean. if you look around carbs are easy to get to and eat and you have to be able to not fall into that.

no, steak and eggs are not all you're going to eat the entire time, but that should be at least 2 main meals, preferably 3, every single day. you still have 3, 4, or 5 meals left during the day. with those you have fruit and yogurt, brown rice or oats (i use a brown rice farina w/ almond meal and oat meal), as JKurz1 said cottage cheese and some kind of vegetable (cooked or raw, i like yams as JKURZ1 said and also avocados, but use your imagination), a couple of zero carb protein shakes with some flax oil in it, and plenty of whole milk to drink, and there you have it, a diet with high protein, good fats, and enough carbs to keep you going but not an abundance.

there is enough carbs in the milk and milk-based products, fruit, and some veggies, to keep you going, i don't think this is a diet that requires a once per week carb up. it's not like you're carb-starving yourself and forcing your thyroid into a coma. you'll have plenty of readilly used carbs, AND protein, AND fats.

this is a high-protein-based diet, built around animal proteins that are easilly digested (by most), and supples good fats, and ample carbs that should not make you fat. as i said before, if you're using sust and your training is on, you should go through this diet like a buzz saw and grow *very* well on it.

i'm not going to count calories for you bro, and i sincerely hope you're not sitting somewhere counting them either. just prepare meals of the foods that we've talked about here and you'll be fine. hey give it the length of your current cycle, if you're not impressed, and you're truly eating like i suggested, you can some back to this thread and flame my ass and tell me i don't know what the hell i'm talking about.

good luck man.

as a follow up, imo, chicken can't touch beef for protein you can grow with. i love the beef stew idea and i also eat this, another good idea is chile, but HOMEMADE!!! don't eat canned bullshit, make it yourself and put good stuff in it. like once per week make a pot of each and keep it in the freezer for when you need it.

and yes, count protein and good fats, but not calories. but the way i have it for you, it really isn't necessary to count. just train hard and eat!!

Thanks for all the replys again! 40butpumpin I'm going to take your sound advice. I'll let you know how everything turns out. My cycle begins next Sunday. Will be my first time injecting, but I'm ready to do this shit...

For me, mcdonalds, chicken and protien powder works wonders. I have a hight metabolism though.

Snarling Force...another thing to take note of...the things that have been suggested here are not only for a diet while on cycle... They work great while off too.
Just remeber, you'll get out of a cycle what you put into it! And I am not talking about gear either.

Also, with the beef stew...just cook it in a crock pot for about 12 hours...45 minutes with a pressure cooker. Make it to where it is falling apart. then add just a touch of self rising flour to the broth, (shake flour and water together in a seperate container to get all of the lumps out) this is only to thicken up the broth to make a gravy. stay away from adding salts. freeze in serving size and all you have to do is nuke it for a minute or two. I do this and I use Autum Grain whole wheat bread to go with it...usually one slice per stew meal.
