This morning 07/15 is the date for my surgery at 11:30 am. I am going to try to have the hearing restored in my right ear and am "not supposed" to be working out for 4 to 6 weeks. I hope I can heal faster than that. The Doc said I could continue with light cardio, so I am going to try to keep my legs worked a little bit while trying to lose all of the fat that I can while I am out of commission.
I will be going on a bulker shortly after I get back into it. I figure that I will lift (while clean) again for a month, then go for a long fall/winter bulker.

good luck bro. Hope you a speed recovery so you can get back in the gym

I'll say the same as everyone, good luck and I'm sure you'll recover quick. Am I the only one who's wondering how he lost the hearing in that ear?! Or did I miss that thread or something? Fill me in! If it counts, i lost the hearing in my left ear for 4 days (went swimming in the lake and didn't wash my ears out, the left went temporarily retarded) and that was the most annoying, debilitating thing!

you may be tempted to start trainin earlier but i'd take the docs advice... 4-6 weeks aint that long, plus like you said you can do cardio, fully plan out your training, future cycle, diet and goals. Let yourself heal up...... by that time you'll just be itchin to hit the weights hard.

Here's to a speedy recovery! I just got my cast off four weeks early, so I assure you that speedy recoveries are possible!

Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts.
The surgery went well according to the DOC, and I can already hear sounds that seem way too loud in my right ear. But the Vertigo really sucks. I have had 13 ear surgeries in my life and I have never had this amount of vertigo and naseau. Anyway, I have lost 10 lbs in 4 days...I can only wish that it was fat instead of muscle.

Anyway, to answer a couple of questions, I lost my hearing about 13 years ago due to an ear infection and a surgery. The infection was highly acidic and it actually deteriorated one of the 3 ear bones that connect the eardrum to the rest of the hearing devices. At the time, the Doc tried to connect the two bones together, but as my new skin graphed eardrum healed...the 2 bones pulled apart. Which left me with an 80% defecit in that ear. I have had some "thru skull" hearing tests that show better than average hearing but it just would not transmitt thru my eardrum. So hopefully, it will now be taken care of.

I wish you a full recovery. I'm curious about something. Since you got an ear operation, why won't your doc let you train?

Because when you train...you hold your breath (to an extent) which put pressure on the eardrums...Since the new titanium bone replacement is attached to the eardrum, he wants it to heal over so it won't pull out of the cartlidge. The replacement looks like a miniature thumb tack, with the wide, flat end being attached to the eardrum and the sharp end attached to the other bones.

All the very best and may you have many nice nurses to help with your speedy recovery.... :p
Ed

And let them be naked and enjoy fondling! Actually when I was in the hospital I had a hot nurse that actually leaned down and put her hand directly on my cock (on accident). I've never seen such a shade of red!
