Supplementation Advice

I'd like to hear some input on what I could and/or should be taking for optimum fitness and recovery.

What I currently do now:

- Tae Kwon Do 2 to 3 days a week
- Rock climbing at least once a week
- Mountain bike once a week, or commute to work (10km one way)

I'm currently not doing any resistance training.

I won't get into what I take now, just looking for some fresh input

Thanks bors! :coffee:

glutamine's great for reducing DOMS/helping recovery. Peptides work even better, but not enough better to justify the price and assy taste if you ask me. At least not yet.

I saw your "glutamine debunked" post. Can't say I agree. Muscle soreness goes WAY down for me when I use it, so it's definitely doing some shit.

I know---there's LOADS of anecdotal evidence about glutamine from people that use it. Unfourtunately, no scientific evidence.

I have used it in the past, and really, have had no noticeable results. I'm a science-based type of athlete, so until a killer study comes out on peptides (here's hoping!) I'm going to bypass it.

The theory on it is great, and it'd be the perfect supplement for me. Crossing my fingers for peptides. ;)

IMO glutamine is one of those "if it works for you then great" products..

btw peptides work very well for me.. especially when training 10+ times in a week
