Good point. Supplimenting with any non-essential amino acid is a waste. Studies have pretty consistently shown that oral administration of non-essential amino acids show no increase in protien synthesis, and little if any change in blood serum levels of any anabolic hormone. L-glutamine is poorly absorbed (less than 10% of it makes it into the bloodstream), and your body can readily make it on its own from other amino acids and/or glucose. Even peptided bonded glutamine is over rated, since a lbs of steak has 10-12 grams in it, thus its quite easy to get alot of it simply from one's diet.
Anyway, this a good thread, so it needs a bump.
