super set legs?

Damn straight. On quad day, after prefatiguing with some leg extensions, I superset leg press with Smith squats to parallel ('cuz they're better for your knees).
 
supersetting is just another way to generate metabolic fatigue. if you do it, do it at the END of your workout after you've already worked through some heavy work sets. It's icing at best. Don't ignore the cake. (after this, I'm going into a writing career)

Just incase you didn't get the notion, no, don't superset legs.
 
It's not a superset but what I do for a few weeks on and off is high rep with little rest in between sets. I'll do 5 sets of 15 reps of squats with 30 to 45 seconds rest in between. Then straight to the leg extensions 4 sets of those 15 reps 30-45 seconds rest through this whole thing. 4 sets of weighted lunges 15 reps. ( I use 135 and drop my back leg almost to the floor). Bang off some farmer walks then calve raises but I do 20 reps on the calve raises 15 seconds rest in between. 5 sets of those.

Give that routine a try and see what you think.
