The Denver Broncos may be in position to make another run for it. Factors in their favor:

Extremely stingy defence. Given up one touchdown in four games.

Mature leadership. Shanahan is a proven commodity under pressure. Elway didn't hurt his resume of course.

Currently rated about #3 in the power ratings.

They have just knocked off three formidable teams in a row. KC, New England and Baltimore.

They have looked more impressive as the season matures.


Though I do not necessarily think they will make it....they are my favorite pick right now.


Who do you like and why are they a serious contender?

Um, KC is not a very good team right now....at all. They are useless without Trent Green. Beating NE anytime is good, but not as good as it used to be. They are overhyped. The Baltimore win was a good one.

They won't win it cause they just don't have the consistency (same as the past few years). Plain and simple.

KB why are they overhyped? They make solid improvements every game so far. Who, that has played a decent schedule deserves more? And if you watch some sports prgrams, the Broncos are far but hyped.
