Suitcase nukes

There have been reports that in the past russia sold suit case nukes to Bin Laden.A russian officail said there were 150 made.
The scary thing is that only 48 of them have been accounted for.

The real "Oh Shit" part of this is the possibility that the whole WTC bombing was simply a diversion to get a nuke in the country and any day now .....boom. WWIII is really off to the races...

A suitcase nuke has the same power as the Oklahoma City Truck bomb. The scariest part is that there are terrorist still in this country. We need to hunt them down and kill them. Thank god for the second amendment. Every American needs to arm themself because our homeland is in danger.

Good points DOT...but I for sure am going to be spending all Saturday in my basement, and OUT of Denver...I'm about 20-30 miles away.

i am no longer concerned with suitcase nukes... why? because.. if they had them israel would have been the first target... they would have also fucked us by now... why wait? there is no point of waiting..

in the last 24 hours i went from being very concerned to very at ease... the "cells" are scrambling, running for cover... they have no contact with each other, they are losing each other by running from the government... they have been isolated and are being strangled... they cannot possibly have contact with each other...

in other news, MAXIM mag had a little article about osama and the way he contacts people... funny thing is, the mag was out well before all this shit went on... he uses internet porn sites to encrypt messages.... (i'm thinking a few of our resident perves are terrorists)

THANK GOD!!! I THOUGHT THOSE NUKES WERE IN THE MEGATON RANGE... WE WOULD'VE BEEN SCREWED

If those nukes were triggered in the air or on top of buildings, the range might cause widespread damage.
Its really fuckin scary since some towelheads might already have it here. I pray to god that he will bestow his knowledge upon our commander in chief and might in our military. God bless us all..

"To those who lost life, we pray for you and yours.
To those injured in the storm, we pray for you.
To those who bore witness to the destruction, we are here for you.
To those who are searching for answers, we are praying for you.
To those who think they did something heroic and triumphant in the name of "ALLAH", GOD is waiting for you! "

read this article.. its from 98' and it offers up some stats as for the power of these... basically they would be used to destroy a certain building or military base... nothing spectacular...

yes but its not to be underestimated
At first, I thought It was in 1megaton nukes which could level a whole city and potentially kill millions.
Now that I'm enlighten I feel much safer but still cautious

oh, i'm not saying i want to play operation with these things and if i het the edge it goes off in my hand.. i know its not a black cat firecracker.. but it wont destroy "too" much... well, one life is too much but you know what i mean...

i hate to say this... but why not fuck us by getting our freshwater supply? chemical warfare in the great lakes... the mississipi river, etc...

How in the blue hell would a bomb in a suitcase have the same power as the megaton abombs used on Japan? I think at most, they could take out a city block, I just plan on avoiding the city and the mega mall

People--Head these words. Arm yourselves, for your own good.

Its not about being scared--just prepared.

The liberals have tricked many into believing that it is a bad idea to be in a position to defend your family.

Well I am not against gun ownership..but what type of scenarios regarding these terrorists would it behoove you to be armed? Are you going to shoot down hijacked 767's with your glock 9? Or fire at the oncoming detonation wave from a nuclear blast??? Or maybe shoot the mississippi river when they dump chemicals into it...I suppose there is always the danger of terrorists knocking at your door requesting to use your residence as a base camp...you could run and get your winchester while they plug you in the back with automatic weapon fire..

Okay.....DOT why all the bumps? You have one don't ya?

Nuke' em.

Why risk our guys in that shithole??

1 ICBM with 10 MRV's would be perfect.
Let's see
1 for syria
1 for sudan
2 for afghanistan
1 for iran
2 for iraq

Have a public opinion poll for the remaining 3 'heads.

Radiation.....works wonders.

On a serious note though.
I expect the US to unveil some new weapons
for this conflict....much like the roll-out of
the F-117 during the gulf war.

I expect our guys have developed some
major league bunker-buster's since '93.
Prolly a new plane (manned or Unmanned)
will show up too.

I just don't want our guys going in there and
gettin hurt.
I'd do it as remotely as possible...even if that
means nukes.

These suit case nukes are waaay overhyped. Ever seen how LARGE a ICBM or the nukes used in WWII were? A suitcase sized nuke wouldn't be capable of anything near that destructive. Yes, for one of them to be detonated would SUCK but they wouldn't take out a city. Uranium, plutonium are VERY dense metals, the things would weigh a shitload, it'd take some effort to tote the thing around.

I don't want anyone over there either, but I have the feeling some of special forces type guys are already making their way toward those bunkers. I don't think Bush will use nukes unless it's a last resort. The risk of alienation of allies and retaliation in the U.S. is too great to risk without trying other means first.

I think you are exactly right.

The weight of a suitcase nuke means nothing for toting around. All they need is a wheel chair and have the thing under the seat. Take a disabled A-rab missing a leg or arm. And one pushing him to there destination. Pretty simple.

It wouldn't matter how much of a city it took out. We in this country are terrerfied of these things and just the fact that one went off in our country would be the end to our economy.

the danger of a suitcase nuke isnt just its explosive power.

when a nuclear bomb goes of many radioactive particulates are created and surrounding bits of whatever was just blown up get irradiated too. basically a radioactive dust is created. this then get blown away by the winds and will be spread for many miles. usually called fallout, most know what it is but some might not (a lot of my friends for instance)

these particulates would be inhaled by people i the surrounding areas, get into animals, water supplies, food supplies and basically through these sources get inside our bodies. they can wreak havoc with you body and cause many types of radiation sickness as well as a few other things. its a terrifying weapon. so a few bombs carefully placed could 'get' the whole or most of the city.

the article posted said that a canister of anthrax or botulism could be strapped to the side. is this possible? conventional nuclear explosions are hot enough to kill almost anything, are suitcase bomb good enough too?

You can spend your life worrying about every awful
possibility, and just hide in your house.
Or you can go on with your life, and be alert to the
things around you.

Personally I want to live my life to the fullest.

Agreed.

Suitcase bombs

True, they might not be very powerful, but has anyone thought what would happen if one was detonated outside of a Nuclear Powerplant? Try Chernobyl times 2.....
