Stupid Question: Do you count the amount of dextrose in your PWOS as carbs?

So, if I am trying to stay relatively "cut" and I lift at night, how is my body going to react to this simple sugar? Now I know everyone is different, but 30-40 grams of a simple sugar has to convert to fat even after working out right? Thanks guys!

Just remember: "No stupid question is a stupid question." I just think there are stupid people. bwahaha

30 grams of dextrose is 28.5 grams of carbohydrates. Your body will break it down and store it as glycogen in the liver and in muscle tissue to replenish that which you have lost during exercise. If this amount exceeds what your body requires then it will be stored as fat.

So, is there any way to know how much my body needs? What about a meal 1.5 hours after my lifts. It usually has carbs in it. I'm really quite confused.

Whatever you consume is going to be broken down into components that your body is either going to absorb and use, store, or expel. If your workout has been intense then your body is going to be looking for energy (food) to replenish that which you have burnt off.
