Stupid question, but answer this please!

I usually take in no more than 2500 calories a day and when I wake up to do my morning cardio, depending on intensity and leghth of time, I usually burn 400-500 calories. Now, do I add the calories burned to my total calories? I guess what I am trying to say is, if i burn say 400, can i now take in 2900 calories or does it not count? thanks!
