You know, even though I am absolutely appalled by everything this walking nightmare current administration has done, I actually agree that neither of these parties or the politicians that represent them are worth a shit in terms of taking our country and its citizens in a better direction-They have ALL become so immersed in greed,lust for power,special-interests,and cronyism that they no longer have a clue, nor care, what the fuck is happening to the populations they're supposed to be serving. We are screwed and tatooed with the current state of affairs, and it gets worse with each year.

He's a man that is sexually attracted to other males. That makes him gay. He is a pedophile because these boys are still juveniles.

Yeah, but why would AAP drag-out a case like this on the boards?

It's a clear example of a gay masquarading as a Republican. Those gays are tricky folks like that. To hear gay people talk about them, Republicans proportedly hate gays. Hence, Foley couldn't be a Republican if he was gay.

The logic is irrefutable.

I am about as conservatice as the come and ALL politicians make me want to gag and vomit. Politics is easily summed up as picking the lesser of the evils.

I'm conservative AND a Christian, and i don't condone any of this behavior.
however; to lump all Republicans and Christians into (1) lump sum is one of the worst cases of prejudice I have ever seen.

Is Foley married? Does he have kids? Date women? Sounds like another hetero to me. Unless of course this Christian leader has made him gay. Much like it was alcohol that made him gay just yesterday. What will it be tomorrow? Space aliens?

Studies have shown that pedophiles are more attracted to age than gender, so to argue otherwise is a moot point.

Didn't you know all conservative Repubs have gay relatives? Sort of runs in the family. God's way of giving the family name at least something to have going for it.

Hell, even Rove has a gay father. Explain THAT!

Actually he's not married and I don't think he has kids but I'm not certain. I don't know if he dates women.

there are some european models of democracy that are "better" than ours I believe.

The problem is you start to lose effectiveness and more red tape starts to appear (imagine that!) with more parties.

But in multiparty systems you have multiparty alliegences to get the majority - so no one extreme is in power.

however there are cases when to much Democracy is bad.

I made my own decision by looking at current models. I didnt have anyone persue me.

I think its better in the way that more are represented.

If you want to fuck the same sex you are gay.

If you want to fuck the same sex but the person is underage, you are a gay pedophile.

Well, I think many (if not most) homosexuals would argue that there is a genetic component to homosexuallity -- or is "gay" something you just catch from a toilet seat?

That being the case, he was at least predisposed to homosexuality at birth. Hence, he was gay before he was a Republican, a pediophile, or really much of anything else.

I had a boss years ago that was gay. He'd spent almost 25 years married (with 2 kids) before coming out of the closet. So having kids and wife doesnt mean shit. Foley could be the gayest thing on earth....

On a side note, this really is the way to handle a mess like this. Every Republican is condeming it, immediate resignation, etc. etc. -- none of this "let's hear the specifics first" crap.

These are not values, they are Washington political survival tactics. He clearly took a page from the Kennedy playbook: Express remorse, claim you were molested/have an illness, check into rehab.

It won't make the problem go away, but it will get you away from the press until America has moved on to the next scandal.
