Can someone smarter than me shed some light on this? I can't find anything to my satisfaction on where it stands right now.

I log on to pay my bill and it says my balance is zero  Am I an idiot?

.

It's like googling "sex", you might wanna try narrowing your search criteria. For example, try asking if there's anyone with specific experience with those loans or someone with a financial background. Just a thought.....cause asking if there's someone smarter than you around is like opening your window and randomly calling out people walking by on the street.

^^^all kinds of win right here

You pulled out loans to get a degree/education and you can't figure this out??? Fuck you.

My guess, a glitch in the matrix, your account is just fucked up do to a clerical error somewhere along the bureaucracy.

So if you have $80,000 in loans at 3.4% interest and pay an average of say $550 over ten years, at the end of ten years you would still owe around $34,000, and that could be forgiven? Who pays that balance? Our broke ass government? Using taxpayer dollars?

I mean sure...why not? We're going down in flames anyway.

Store the money from the payment and call them on Monday, even if they say Marry Christmas you are off the hook I'd still store the payment equivalent for a couple of months just in case it does turn out to be an error.

Did you get a communications degree?

LMAO

A guy I know has a BA in communications from a decent university. He wanted to take advantage of some stimulus money to become a physical therapy assistant in 2009. To make a long story short, he used a reverse racism argument to get the local distributor of funds to give him an exemption, people with degrees weren't qualified under the program. Anyhow, after testing by the community college,he needed three remedial math classes before he could take college level courses in math for a two year program.

He asked me to take his online exams, I declined and severed our an MBA student, take his math exams.

My question, how the hell do you get a college degree with a lack of understanding of mathematics that requires three remedial courses to reach the college level?

Why don't you tell me what you think happened, instead of acting like you know something about something you have no clue about. And then I'll tell you what really happened and you can see what a dumb fuck you really are.

Congrats... Looks like u actually paid for college which is a big accomplishment... I'm sick of idiots going to college for a 4 year party like its entitlement and then complaining for the next 30 yrs they have college debt

Yeah, I found some info on it after making this thread. I wouldn't qualify yet based on what you posted.

I finally got a letter clearing it up. The loans were sold. I'm guessing they were cheap with this act looming.

i think that the teachers that recieved that money should have to repay those loans.. at least for the school part.. the living and party money that you borrowed.. hell no, you owe that you slacker...

not at you ceo..

Obviously, most of you didn't understand what I was asking. I was asking if this had been shot down or somehow got passed without me knowing anything about it, hence being confused about my balance. I wasn't asking what the bill was about or how it worked.

Fuck you all :)

now who's fault do you think that is tiger? is it ours for not being able to decrypt your nebulous scribble?

maybe if you think out a couple sentences in advance you'll do better.

I guess you pay at least 10% of your income for 10 years, then if you qualify (have qualifying loans) you can have the balance forgiven.

nice. stick someone else with the bill.

Work for a nonprofit for 10 years and they forgive all student debt or something like that.

I don't know. I went for free. :)
Good thing since grad school bills are a bitch.

Yeah, that's pretty much all I could gather from it. I guess I should just "stfu and thank Obama" if it does get passed. Fuck the deficit!

It must be picking up speed. This is the second time my loan has been bought out. The first time I was notified quickly and never had confusion over what was going on. This time I've shown a balance of zero since the 6th of this month.

Thanks. Mine isn't really a big debt so I'm not really worried about getting it forgiven. I just borrowed a little here and there between jobs.
