First off, that sounds like a nice motor for your car.
Question: Earlier, you said "and a ATI 4200 converter" and now you say it has a "MSD 6AL box". Y did you spend the extra on the "AL" box when all you needed was the "A". The "AOL" box is for manual cars. Just wondering???

these two parts have nothing to do with eachother...
dballer said:I love it!! There is not a car around that can run with mine. I have a 69 Nova with a 427 cu. in. BBC. It has gone 7.43 in the 1/8th and 11.06 in the 1/4.... with no juice.
It is awesome to drive a car that will yank the front tires off the ground.
my car does not like corners though.

That is a bad ass Nova, the 427 by far is my favorite Chevy engine.
As for me I will not even talk about my stone of a Chevelle, nice looking but is way too slow to race. I am selling it this summer and want to pick up a 65-67 GTO. Once I finally get a decent job I will be able to start thinking about going fast.

work has been a bitch. Pulled about 70 hours last week and already got 25 in since Sunday. I haven't had much time. The Miata hasn't been out in two weeks. Porsche Club was at Texas World Speedway (75 miles North of Houston near college Station) this weekend with an open rally. Wanted to go but couldn't get free. Somtimes my job sucks. GO FAST BRO

I know it was the 351 and he probably had a shit load of goodies. My car is a LT1 stock M6 Formula. But she's getting headers, catback, and Ram Air by next Spring. I'm guess new times should be 13.4-13.7 depending on take off. NOS, SC, or Cam might go in as well but I'm debating which one.

69Muscle said:The amzing part is that his block is stock. He is running the most boost of any TT kit with a stock block! I think his last dyno was 450+ rwhp, but he hasn't posted on ls1.com because he kinda rooked the kids out of money with his shiftlights.
I'm sure he's much faster now then when his last dyno session was.
If you get in the low 11's high 10's then you pretty much have a good shot at any bike on the street except for a GSX or anything insane like that.

They had some test and tuna at the local track this weekend and alot of the rice boys came out and got mad at me for makin fun of the 13 second passes they were makin in the 1/8th mile!!!

In my opinion, MOST people who drive camaros, mustangs, most american muscle cars in general, are white trash. I'm not trying to piss on your guys parade, but you have to admit alot of people that drive those cars are like that.
In your guys opinion, anyone who drives a honda, etc is a riceracer or whatever the slang is.
It's all personal preference though. I'm not really into street racing, just looks. I've thought about putting a Hartge 5.0 engine in my 01 325i but it's not worth the cash. If I were to do that I might as well trade my car in and get the m3.

Anyone who drives a riceboy car is a moron.. lets see here.. the objective is to go fast.. right? Well considering that there is NO lawnmower car that will turn a 9 second quarter that still drives on the street and you can do it in a Camaro or a redneck car... who are the idiots here?
for the price of a STOCK honda accord I can but 3 camaros..
if you want to go fast.. you buy a V8 American car. and be a redneck
if you want to listen to eminem and act fast.. but a Izuzu
if you want to be a fratboy yuppie.. get the M3

A kid driving a Honda dosn't bother me at all. Now a kid driving a Honda with a fart pipe muffler, 50 stickers for parts that he dosn't even have, and a huge spoiler does. It is annoying when they try to pawn these cars off as race cars.
For racing purposes (which this thread is about) you simply can not beat American muscle.

If you get a 67-69 Camaro with a 396 it should be pretty fast.. but if you are really into getting one let me know I will for sure help you out.
Plan on spending some coin on the car too.. 67-69 are really pricey. My friend has a 68 right now.. it is nice. He is selling it.. it has a built 383 in it.. the car is fast enough where your vision starts to black out in second gear with only the first stage of nitrous. It will pull the tires off the ground on the street!!!

Not that pricey.I've found 3-4 to my liking that were under $15,000. I'm not looking for matching numbers. Just a nice straight car that runs good and fast. I'm getting one for sure though. Mid May at the latest...

I know for $15 you can get a NICE one.. hell for $8 you can get a nice one!!!
