Street racing

Well I got smoked by a ShitStang SALEEEN. Fucker took off like a bat out of hell. He got 2 car lenght in front of me but I was closing in at 120mph. I know it was the 351 and he probably had a shit load of goodies. My car is a LT1 stock M6 Formula. But she's getting headers, catback, and Ram Air by next Spring. I'm guess new times should be 13.4-13.7 depending on take off. NOS, SC, or Cam might go in as well but I'm debating which one.

Get the cold air intake and of course the exhaust. Then just swap out your rear-end gears. You be pleasantly suprised!!!

If you are running a completely stock LT1 Formula, it by NO means takes a S351 to beat your ass. Right now you are probably running , 13.9-14-2 or so, depending on how you drive. A completely stock Saleen Speedster (they are stock GT's with suspension work) runs around 14.1. A S351 runs around 12.2 or faster.

Not saying it wasnt an S351, but I have only seen 2 in my life, and neither were on the road. It could have even been a supercharged GT Saleen.

Remember the Golden Rule in speed, children: There's no replacement for displacement!

Technology is the only replacement for displacement.

Sorry, dont have a big block so I had to throw this in.

again.. there is no replacement for displacment. If you run a roots style blower and inject a big block with alcohol, a small block will not touch it.
I have never watched a Pro Mod with a small block. Maybe with bugjet in mind, the small blosk is the choice for street cars. But for going in a straight line you cannot beat a big block. I am not taking credit away from small blocks.. but there is no way you can get one to build the same kind of power as a big block. The big block is not as practical... but they do not make small block mountain motors. This goes for ford and chevy.

Not a serious racer.. but like to have fun when the opportunities arise..

I have a 95 Nissan 300ZX with a few mods..

- New Intake
- Fittipaldi Racing Rims
- Split Fire spark plugs..

not that much hp.. but it handles like crazy! and it looks sweet!

You get in the low 11's and you have a good shot at anything with the exception of a Hayabusa. I see kids with GSXR's out at the strip ever weekend (that is what I do 3 days a week)... and I know the numbers. There is a guy out there with an 86 GT with a 2 stage 275 horse system. Ge runs 10 inch w series... No bike out there can run with him... oh yeah, he drives it there!!!!

The amzing part is that his block is stock. He is running the most boost of any TT kit with a stock block! I think his last dyno was 450+ rwhp, but he hasn't posted on ls1.com because he kinda rooked the kids out of money with his shiftlights.

I'm sure he's much faster now then when his last dyno session was.

If you get in the low 11's high 10's then you pretty much have a good shot at any bike on the street except for a GSX or anything insane like that.

Last dyno I seen was 46? to the wheels. He has been having tons of trouble making all the lights that people are ordering. He even had about 10 people from around here help him one weekend to try to finish shit.
