my max bench has been 350lbs for a while but the last few times i was able to get 6 reps out of it. now i want to go for just one rep at 400lbs ( to know what my max is ) my question is, when does a person need to start using straps or braces for bench press. ive seen people use those body brace lookin things but there benching alot more than 400. should i be fine? ive had no trouble at all with 350.
