Strained something in my calf :(

I tried Nelson's cooked calf routine on wed. and as thurs progressed they gradually felt sore, and this morning I couldn't go to work :( My left calve is geniunie sore (normall) but my right one I can barely stand on. Can't even straighten it. This sucks. Has this ever happened to anybody else?
 
I was finally able to walk normall on Sun. Still kinda sore. It's where ( well what I did, hint hint, close to Nelson's, not plagirizing since I never bought anything) you do seated or standing (I did standing) calf raises with a weight that you can do for about 20 reps and instead do them untill 75 reps, stopping no more than 5 seconds only if you have too. God its's a workout.
 
talk about going beyond failure... hehe. Sounds like you worked the calves harder than you should have.

I have just tried a new routine for my calves that are way to thin, you may like it:
2 warm up sets standing raises. then 3X6 Max weight for six reps. then 1X10 + 1X15
Then move to seated raises:
2-3setsX15
Then on the seated bench I do speed raises.
6-10 sets of 3-5 reps, really fast reps. same as speed bench. seems to be working good so far.
 
cool, thanks, don't think I'll be doing that routine I did anymore. I've always been blessed with my calves, bigger than my bi's.

I just did the EXACT same thing on Saturday. I am just starting to be able to walk normal today (Thursday), indeed it's a good workout, I just have to lower the weight a tad. I find the more I walk the looser it gets, I spent 15 minutes on the tredmill yesterday but as soon as I sat down for a while I siezed up like a rusty bolt again. I just keep walking it off from time to time all day.

Heat and ice help too.
 
I use his principle for biceps. But I've haven't bought or read either of his "books", why have you?
 
once i tried the 100 calf raise with low weight theory out. claves were pumped to hell the rest of the day but didnt hurt. the next day, i got out of bed to go to school, and screamed when i put weight on my leg. it felt like i had 10 knives sticking bone deep in each leg.
 
Ya I bought The Secrets of Bodybuilding. It has a few things in it that I wasn't aware, different things to try. All in all it wasn't worth the money though.
