Stomach problems on AAS?

Bawstin

New member
So I've had really bad stomach problems lately. Really bad bloating, diarrhea, all that nasty stuff starts around noon just about every day and lasts through 7-8 pm. My doc thinks it's either celiac disease (gluten allergy) or an ulcer (yay). She's drawn blood and is trying to figure it out. But... I'm also on a cycle and it started around the same time as I started the cycle. I've never had anything like this happen to me before on a cycle and I really doubt that it's related but just wanted to hear what you gurus think.

Has anything like this ever happened to you? Any thoughts?

stress have given me serious acid reflux to the point of an ulcer/infection in my esophigos, I now take nexium every day to control it. Protien will jack up your digestive tract, is there any supplement or protien you started taking at the same time?

Yeah I've upped the protein shakes but I consume a ton of protein even off cycle. I've tried Prilosec but it didn't do anything.

I am not a dr., does your stool have any blood in it?
Second, did you change your protien? Add a new protien?
How many protien shakes are you drinking in a day?
How many meals do you have before 1pm?

No luckily no blood and it's the same whey i always drink. I probably do 4-5 drinks a day, plus a ton of chicken and turkey. I usually eat twice before 1pm, once at 6 am and once around 9:30-ish.

Thought about that too so I switched to soy (yay) and got rid of all other lactose (NOT easy!) two weeks ago. Made no difference...

ouch.... do not drink soy milk.

I was Tested and had surgury for acid reflux. It was a bad case. I had to get off juice for a while after surgury as it laid me up for a while. Before surgy while i was running my cycle, had the bloating, always full feeling, and alot of hicups due to tthe increased acid buildup. you can take upto 300mg zantac daily, but no more. Zantac was the only one that worked primarily for me. The doc gave me the prolosac 20mg day and I an it up to 60mg a day. that is the max dosage you should take. I would stick with 300mg zantac ED, run 2% milk versus whole milk. If you are drinking coffee or tea daily or any other caffinated drinks, this will increase symptoms. Try decaff where you can, as this will help you out. I would research GERD ( acid refulx) and use some of the diet information to see if it helps releive your symtoms. i get it active still today, but I have learned to control it. The protein dont seem to bother me. My surgery was in 2000, and still going strong. Your will have to adjust your diet here and there to see what will help you. Hope some of this will give you some insight...

Thanks

Thanks man. Yeah, I'm trying to eliminate one thing at a time from my diet to figure out what's going on. The one thing I DREAD cutting out is caffeine...

I take 20mg ED of Nexium to control excess stomach acid. When my acid reflux is bad my esophagus will become irritated and I will have trouble swallowing. I get upper GI's once per year and since I've started Nexium my esophagus is completely normal and I can eat anything.

So as you can see I visit a gastro very frequently. Once I had diarrhea for 5 days straight and I got worried. I went to my doc and gastro and they told me to take immodium AD for 3 days and to eat nothing but easy to digest foods (chicken soup and NO dairy). They told me for diarrhea they only run tests if you've had it for a month straight. Imagine that. As long as you don't have any serious symptoms I can understand that. Blood work is always good though. Here I was thinking I had a bacterial disease, some sort of infection, etc. My "shits" went away after 6 days but man did having the squirts every day suck.

Point is, eat some lighter foods, take some immodium AD (half the recommended dose) and give your system some time.

Acid reflux should always be addressed ASAP to prevent long term damage. Even OTC meds like Prilosec will work. Nexium is a damn life saver for me.

It is all you can do.. I still drink caffine and do alot that I am not supposed to do, but I am hard headed as a fool. I laid off of heavy spices, as well, and use white pepper versus black pepper.. The white pepper dissolves versus the black pepper does not. I am a die hard for the coffee, but do not drink it like I used to.. One cup that's all. You will learn to change your diet to will work for you.. my case was bad enough to have surgury.. I have a Tube now for part of my esophagus, as the acids ate it up. Good Luck my brotha, in altering your diet.. Try different OTC acid reduction meds, to see what will work best for you..

Thanks. Let's just say that I don't have to order at Sbux anymore, they know me too well...

My doc supposedly wants to me go to a specialist and swallow a camera (upper endoscopy)... Yay.

i had severe stomach problems the last few weeks and blood results showed very low iron bro..that means im bleeding internally i guess so i am goingin wednesday to get a colonoscopy and an endoscopy, tubes down the throat and up the ass just to be safe...get it done bro, i hate it to but if something is going on then better to be safe and catch it early..peace

You're smart to have gone to the doc with this, just in case. But in my own (limited) experience with what we do here, there are no stomach problems I've known myself. I'd guess it's something you're eating, and maybe just too rich in protein. If your body can't metabolize all that stuff, and since it's not so easily converted to fat for storage, your system needs to try to get rid of the extra. It also sounds like an allergy to MSG (monosodium glutemate). That is a preservative that they stick into all kinds of foods from potato chips to dairy-based stuff. It's on the label if it's in there; federal law. My wife is in the bathroom the rest of the day if she accidentally eats anything with ANY MSG in it. For me it's dairy. One teaspoon of milk, and I'm on the can the rest of the day, and cramps.
