Stickyness Factor...

One way to create a message that marketers want to inject into mainstream culture is to make make it have some sort of stickyness to it in that it stays in your head due to some an unorthodox combination that provokes you in an unexplicable manner... Well, as I work on grad work this morning and procrastinate by posting, I notice that I have that stupid Target commercial song You say Goodbye I say hello theme song stuck in my head, does anyone else have some repetitive song or advertising propaganda on spin cycle in their head as well, its annoying, but I can't get rid of it... Kudos to Target I guess.

yes, the old 5 dollar subway song was constantly in my head

f-r-e-e that spells free. creditreport dot com babyee

Yeah thats the thing that gets me, it does kinda put u in a good mood, I"m reading an article how peeps were subjected to 10 words that were primed to make them polite, all through subconscious priming, and some other 10 peeps were subjected to a list of 10 words that were primed to make them rude... well the second part of the experiment they were supposed to go talk to a researcher to learn what to do next, well the researcher was part of the experiment and was in a 10 minute convo... well the people who read the 'rude' list interrupted the convo in less than 5 minutes... the peeps who read the list of 'polite' words, waited the entire conversation... its amazing how just a list of 10 words controlled or manipulated the whole person's subconscious and behavior... my point is, I find myself in a lighter mood for a short while replaying the Target song, I mean genius marketing... but also kinda shocked how easily all of us can be manipulated through subconscious...

Kinda neat though.

Sarcasm makes for a weak mind Ender...
True, but the truth shall set you free. You forget that Target and Alltel aren't in Canada? Hence, their advertisements aren't either. Thus, I haven't heard of those slogans or jingles.

I'm sorry, U got me, I thought you and your advertising self were just marketing sarcasm for the massess...
Okay dumb analogy...
But, the Target thing, the more I reflect on it uses sublime, happy visuals, about people just sort of casually, but happily doing every day things, with this extremely serene, yet upbeat, theme song of You say Goodbye I say Hello... Hello Hello... You say Goodbye I say Hello.. Hello... Hello.
Extremely Hypnotic... the funny thing is I'm reading all about the subconscious and new research articles that say how we are on autopilot most of the time and how this subconscious basically scans the whole picture and directs you to make a decision...
So I catch myself whole day, while in class, walking to my car, having the stupid target song in my head, so yeah Pwned by Target...
Genius Marketing...

To me, genius marketing always comes down to cigarettes. Little to no direct advertisements. YET, THEY STILL SELL!

Amazing.

Credit (from the bank) is the other product that I find amazingly well marketed. Do you know anyone without a credit card? That's right! 100% adoption! Wow!

Your topic reminded me of this-

Mostly relevant
YouTube - Mind Control - TV Education - Mass Media
Great Post...
Yeah I agree, so much shit U would dig on,
Now this has nothing to do with Gov. Control, but an Author, whose voice reminds me of yours... and just kind of personality... is Daniel Pinchbeck... He wrote breaking open the head, about opening consciousness, I won't discuss the specifics... but U should read this...
It reminds me of your voice...
Also don't forget to get 5 obstructions from Netflix...

Bro, nicotine could sell itself covered in shit, most addictive substance known to man, however studies are also reporting that genetic contributions... some people are more addicted to nicotine than others... there are even studies reporting race has alot to do with levels of addiction.
Credit is another thing that sell itself... I mean money now, and pay later, shit... since we are in an age of instant gratification and the qualities or following the univeral axiom of sacrifice early and reap rewards later appear to be disappearing then Credit and Nicotine are perfect examples of cultural addiction.

This is all weighing us down mentally, and now you have kinda triggered the thought that the hypnotic, happy, innocent vibes that are selling right now are marketers way of creating a subconscious escape from worry...
Always a step ahead they are.
