First, let me start by saying, anything that your body can produce, is not a drug. Your body produces creatine, protein, testosterone, blah blah. Next, let's ask ourselves, why is "Drugs" illegal? Because, the government cannot tax drug dealers and profit. Why is prostitution legal in certain parts of Nevada, and not the rest of the U.S.? Because, the government issues Prostitution liscenses, where YES they pimp and tax the whores. So you see my friends, "steroids" is illegal, simply because our government is pimps, and they want "their" money. Medical marijuana is legal, why? Because it is issued by the Government and they make a profit..Bah, sorry for pissing and moaning. But stupid stuff like this really pisses me off!!!!!!!!

P.S..I don't see any bodybuilders getting all hopped up on Testosterone and robbing liquor stores. Maybe the Government should focus more on Crack dealers and coke smugglers.

The government restricts and controls steroids because the idea of a chemical that can help you better yourself scares the ultramoralists who make these sorts of laws.

They're so concerned with protecting us from ourselves. It'd be fantastic if they focused on protecting us from the bad guys out there, instead.

Since I have "AIDS" and get my Test & AS from a doctor:

1. The goverment can funnel tax dollars to big Pharma thru Medicare Part D.
My Oxandrin was about $600/month, now my Anadrol-50"s are $1300/month
2. They can tax the big Pharma companies, but usually go right back and give them a tax BREAK for being Sooooo nice to people. <GAG>.

It must either have to do with money, as you said, that and a combination of political correctness at this point in time. Everything was just going along peachy keen until the 1980's when the general public became aware that there were drugs that you could take to help your athletic performance and/or improve your physique. Whenever the general public becomes aware of something, it's all downhill after that. Back when athletes were the only ones that knew about steroids, nobody cared and everyone was at bliss in their ignorance. When they became general knowledge is when people started pissing and moaning even though they didn't know what they were complaining about. Most people who pontificate about the evils of steroids couldn't even name a steroid.

So at some point, somebody invented the term "roid rage", probably because somebody that happened to be using steroids committed a violent crime - never mind that 99% of violent crimes are committed by people that have never even seen a vial of test. Also, there are the supposed health issues that somebody pulled out of their ass. Sure there can be issues, as with any drug, but to hear "them" talk, you'd take one Dianabol tablet and your liver falls out and you die. And unfortunately, in this country still, most people will believe what ever is shoveled down their throats by "experts" on the television news even if their is no actual basis for it. If you take the gubbiments logic to its conclusion, tobacco and alcohol should be illegal instead of steroids - cigarettes and their related health problems cause more deaths in a day than steroids have since their invention, but there's too much tax money to be made on tobacco and Jack.

In short, I agree with you. The current situation is bad and getting worse and it's a bunch of crap when there are so many other things of greater importance that could be worried about instead.

Steroids are illegal because some self rightous, special interest group pushed spineless lawmakers to pass stricter drug control regulation.
