Starting a cycle from a relative dead start vs being highly trained

OMEGA

Discuss your results pretty please
if or when you have cycles from either position ( dead start vs highly trained)

We all have seem Lee Priest ot Paul Dillet get VERY out of shape then BOOM! in shape 4 months later.
Kevin Levorone has does this too.

note:
To clarify when I mean "dead stop" I mean just after a 1-3 month hiatus, NOT applicable to those who NEVER lifted or cycled before.

Discuss.

If I took a 3 month hiatus....I would rust shut like the Tin Man on The Wizard Of Oz.

"oil can!" - "oil can!"[/B] :lmao:

I only take 2 weeks off, twice a year. Within 6 weeks I'm in good shape again.

.

I took a month off once in the last 2 years. I jumped right on the juice when I got back to the gym to.
I came right back to life and then some. I took the month off because of work and other shit.

hi:)

how did you ease into the lifts?

Balls to the wall like I never stopped bro. I just pushed it as much as I could and found my maxes and went on from there. No pussyfooting around.

Well I write everything down so this helped me. I just looked at my
notes found my last max weights and reps and took a little off of that. I made it a goal to get back to my recorded maxes as fast as I could. I think it took like 2 weeks.

The reason old people walk like they have a load of trouser chili in their pants...is because of lack of excercise.
If they would fucking exercise they could move. 60,70,80, or 90 years old.

Use it or lose it. That goes for your Dick too, Pops!

RFLAO@ Trouser Chili. I know what you mean though .50cent. My dad is in his 70's and as limber as my 30 year old ass. In his youth he was a yoga instructor.

I was off for 3 years
lifted for about 1 month then started a cycle, first cycle ever and am not coming off, ever.

Though I was off for 3 years I retained most of my mass, however BF% was considerably high, I also got blood work done prior to starting cycle and all levels OK, test was a little low.

Results have been excellent so far. Have maintained basically the same weight however BF% dropping (wish it was dropping faster) but it is dropping.

I had over 5 months off at one point. I was a rugby player and i Tore basically all the connective tissues in my shoulder. It came out of socket 4 times very close together in one season the last time was terrible they took an X Ray and the bone was down level with say my nipple. So needless to say was weak when I got back in the gym. I didn't cycle immediately but close. Lifted one month to get somewhat ready. Cycle was insane, between muscle memory and the AAS I was growing like on my first cycle if not better!!!

thanks others as well!:coffee::coffee:

i got the adult chickenpox at age 39. i don't have a spleen and i almost died. i was out of commission for 2 months. my dermatologist
( yes, i said dermatologist ) was also my neighbor\ friend and he wrote me testosterone enanthate with 3 refills. i recovered almost
immediately, gained back the 25 lb's i lost plus some. needless to say, it saved my ass.

The old bread and butter. I did test/deca/dbol. I thought the deca may make it a little easier on my shoulder gettin back into heavy lifting. Gains started to slow down around week 9 or 10, but I was still makin progess at the end, but decided to come off after 14 weeks.

I rest my case. I'll bet he doesn't walk around like he crapped his pants either, right!:lmao:

Get him doing some resistance training. I'm sure he is limber, but his muscles will turn to Jello if he doesn't keep working them. Yoga is hard work. Kudos to your dad.

I've been on HRT since 2004. Recovery is so much easier then coming off and doing a full PCT. I won't ever come off.
3 months on low dose HRT. 3 months on cycle. 2 weeks no weights. Repeat. I lose very little muscle mass. And for a 51.6 year old man, I fucking swagger when I walk, BUOYEEEE!!! :supercool

i was natty , two years ago, but i had surgery, was out lifting for about 2.5 months. when i came back i EXPLODED, went from about 97kg to 108kg in 3months no shit and i was natty, it was like the firts time getting results when u start working out, im doing the same for the next two months but this time im coming back with a new cycle, so it should be fun,

but got question, if i gained little fat and went sloppy abit, and i came back with good clean diet and AAS, will it be possible to drop the body fat when coming back and gain and the same time, cause im pretty lean to begin with but afraid i might put on bit of fat in my two months off

Good for you LB

If I don't take a week off after 8 weeks on i'm worthless. I get so burnt out that I just can't progress anymore.

From now on I'm doing 5 months on and 1 month off, regardless of if i'm on cycle or not. My body needs the rest.

My body adapts very quickly to any type of compound, aas or natural supplements. I can run 100mg of tren every day with no sides whatsoever. I'm NOT advocating anyone else do this, i'm the exception and not the rule.

I'll put on 10 lbs in 2 weeks with a good cycle but then the last 6 weeks I will only gain about 4-8. :(

I love you too, Man!:bawling:

I run 150mg Test Cyp / week. Taking it down to 100 for the next 3 months. My test is in the 3000 range and my Dr. is pissed.
Ran this last cycle an extra month test only at 500mg/wk.

Totally saturated receptors. A waste of gear. No stronger, no more gains. Stupid move on my part. My BP was up. Was getting headaches. I won't ever cycle past 14 weeks again.

I was sick about a year ago, and had to take 3 months off. I dropped down to 170(from 195), and trained back natty up to about 190 in like 6 weeks, then ran tbol and var and shot up to 202 and have continued to gain since then. I sit at 218 as of today around 12% BF.

Humans are very amazing creatures. I was sick for almost a year with no training at all. I dropped from a lean 190 to a soft 175. It was an ugly sight. Fast forward two years later with a little over one year of solid training and dieting and I am a semi lean 225. That is over a fifty pound weight gain and I have beat almost all my previous maxes. I am yet to pop my cherry with a real injectable cycle. I have set a goal of 240 body weight with my same conditioning before taking the plunge. Needto will be my personal AAS consultant in my quest from Geek to Freak lol.

Truer words were never spoken. For me, training is even more important than ever less than a year off 50. I just rust up too quickly with even short breaks.

Balls to the wall like I never stopped bro. I just pushed it as much as I could and found my maxes and went on from there. No pussyfooting around.

After a long break I much prefer pussyfooting around for several months. Injury prevention is number one in my book. If you've taken time to have time off, then why rush back?

'More haste, less speed' is a good motto here. Go easy on the joints, ligaments and tendons...give them time to catch up.

I agree. Sometimes you can really benefit from taking it easy in the gym. I train balls to the wall low volume very high intensity with most sets going to absolute failure. I can only keep progressing like this for 6-8 weeks until I am beat into the ground and over trained. I usually take a week off all together and then spend another week or two training with high(er) volume and not going to failure. I always come back stronger and up a few pounds.

Given that with good diet and the big compound exercise novices can put on such a significant amount of size/strength it's hard to believe that additional hormones would be of much use. The dietary requirement would be obscene. It's seems like a waste to pour gas on a perfectly good fire. I would guess that it's better to throw food and heavier weights at it till that doesn't work anymore.
