Chances are that if you are using a high bar stance and your knees are moving fwd...when your hams touch your calves...you are either AT parallel or just a "tad" below anyway.
I box squat and squat with a wide stance and go 1-2" below parallel. I do my front squats with a wider than shoulde width stance and toes pointed out a bit...deep.
