Squat vs box squat

I say box squats really helped me out.. I was box squatting 405 for 5.. Below parallel... It's dangerous tho, something where technique has to be on point. Well like any lift.
 
i like box squats to get my body used to heavier weights. first time i did 5 plates was on box and then i was hitting it free squat in no time.
 
Also a rotation is always good. Even box squats are not as functional so the full ATG squat. I prefer a front squat, back squat, pistol squat
 
i have good genetics for deadlift and squat. norwegian. my bench sucks.

i squatted 465 with a suit and knee wraps my senior year of hs lol. 405 raw. at 210lbs.


and my max bench was 230 lol.
 
any proof, and if you already have links appreciated

none of me doing 5 plates on squats bc the only person who i would have take pics of me is my spotter/workout partner.

Cool bro good work....your a hefty motha fuker.

on that cut diet now man. feeling weak but i gotta trim off some fat that i have accumulated in the last 3 years of straight bulking like 60 lbs of weight. looking to compete in september. no idea how im gonna look.
 
Box Squats, done properly, are more difficult than free squats.

I also feel that they are the most functional squat, all around, that there is. Also the most safe...if done properly.
