Well... I know it's probably pussy for aot of you, but I bucked up 265 on Front Squats for 3 reps tonight... I was going for one, but the first one felt pretty good, so I did another... it kinda stuck at the bottom but I just eased it up... and I figured I'd do one more... because.. well fuck it, I was in a squat rack right??? :) And that one I was spitting out salava on the mirror in front of me...

All in all a good night... :)

Good job my friend. Don't forget to drop the weight here soon...the knees and back recover ONLY so quickly.

Drop the weight? Explain? So I should go down to like 225 and just do some rep work?

And if that is the case... should I drop the weight on my back workout too? Things are still improving...

:)

IMHO...yes. drop the weight down to 225 next week and do some more reps and maybe more sets too. Then, work your way up. you are returning from an injury...remember!!!! Plan ahead and be smarter than the injury...and continue to strengthen it.

I hit 315 for 9 on fronts, then nailed 365 for 3 the next set this week, though I was going to hell while doing it. My PR also, so it was an outstand leg week!:)

Yeah, I don't doubt I'll be up there with you Stri... My knee has been pretty solid, hell, it has even SPED up recovery of it... I mean, I can jog now (still can't do any quick lateral movements yet)... but these deep front squats are definately helping out somewhat... before I started doing them, I could barely walk up stairs without being in extreme pain... and I couldn't even jump an inch off the ground without feeling like my knee was going to blow out.

I remember back before I hurt my shoulder, I was doing back squats at like 365... and that was in 1997... and even this past year I was doing like 1100lbs or more on Leg Press... so I know I have the strength in my legs to do this... i just don't want to be trying to break records and have my knee shoot out or something. :)

I heard that, I did most of my own knee rehab also. Just by taking it one leg workout at a time. Knee injuries are a capital mind fuck. Next time you pass thru chicago, look me up for a leg workout.:)
