Spring Break, or class?

Big dilemma this year. My best buddies are all going to Daytona beach for a week and are renting a huge lakeside house that fits twelve of us.

I really want to fuckin' go, and I haven't been on spring break since senior year of high school (which wasn't good, a thug stole $100 from me when I asked him to buy beer for me. yeah.... I was only 17 at the time though.)

Problem is, my spring break is a week before my buddies.

He's telling me to just skip out on class, but I missed a couple of classes this week since I just had surgery.

If I tell my professors I'm going to spring break, they'll get pissed at me. But I don't want to lie to them either.

I'm leaning towards not going because of that, but do any of you know any tricks or have any suggestions?

yeah, but I need to get my gpa back to a 3.0 to get back into ohio state or ohio university.

If I don't, I might have to wait another entire semester to do that (unless I do summer classes, which i'll most likely do anyway.)

I don't know... I agree with not lying, so I'd probably just tell them I'm going to Daytona, and I will be prepared to accept responsibility if it causes me to slip back a bit, and I'll catch up and will consider it a life lesson. If I don't slip, then I acted on my gut feeling that it would be OK, and I would consider it a success in self-trust. I don't know about you, but I have a thick skull, and no professor or teacher (or even family) could have taught me the life lessons I learned by trying/succeeding/failing at things which people might have told me were a bad idea, or were a good idea, etc etc.

It was a springbreak spot 20 years ago and the town had enough. I've been going there since I was a kid. It is a good spot to hit the beach, but I'd pick somehwere else for sure for springbreak. Panama city is where most people still go I think.
