AT&T gives them free phone cards....or at least they used to.

yes they do but it is only a 15 minute card. well at leased when i was in Iraq it was but i know they are still sending them over. around here they have set up stations at stores where they tell the customers going in to please buy a phone card and drop it off with them on their way out. its working really well. they brought in tons of cards and sent them over.

I think the way it works is that the active service people are well taken care of in this regard. Its the forgotten broken vets who dont serve anybodies propaganda or public relations purposes that need some assistence.

Check your local American Legion and VFW. Most Posts are doing similar things.
