Spatts... Look here....

I ordered a Titan Fury NXG+ competition fit today so I could have more options as to what meets I can attend... Well anyways.. I knew when you got your shirt that you had problems with the arms being too tight if I'm not mistaken. Well I think I'm gonna have the same problem.. My chest Measurement was 48" which corresponds to a size 48 in the Fury. But my arm measurment was 19" cold and flexed per their instructions and the size 48 has a sleeve for a 17 inch arm i believe..

Well anyways, did you have to send your shirt back to have the shirt altered? I remember you were trying to stretch them, but I don't recall how that turned out.

Thanks

NO! I ended up spending 30 mins with Hannibal and Project both yanking and pulling, and it was the smartest 30 mins I spent. I get 70 pounds easy out of that single ply shirt. I did 2 board in it yesterday, went to a raw 1 rep of 225 and then shirted up for a 305 max....80 pounds. It's tight, it hurts, it chokes me and cuts my arms off, but I love the damn thing.

Since it sounds like you are both talking about benching, do either of you have a link that gives the rules for competition bench pressing? ie, what qualifies for a bench to be valid in competition?

Either shirted, or raw. I Bench raw, but am still interested in the rules.

Thanks,
Joker

I'm really looking forward to trying it out.. Supposidly the NXG+ is giving people up around 30% more than the original NXG material.. I also have a Karins Double Denim, but had to send it back because the chest plate measurement got screwed up and was 6 inches too narrow.. I could barely break my elbows with 495 when I tried it.... I also order a Titan Dual Quad Suit in the NXG+ today as well.. So I'll have plenty of new toys to keep me busy for a while....

That's always the best way to get in.

Nothing wrong with the hard way...

Speaking of bicep measurements, JDarty, if you arms simply will not fit into the sleeves do what Spatts did and use weight plates to stretch them out some. Just a couple of 2.5 to start...also wet the shirt down and it will stretch easier.

Joker, here is one federations (USAPL) rules in PDF format:

http://www.usapowerlifting.com/rulebook/index.shtml

very strict. I once witnessed a world record bench easily go up but the lifters foot moved. no good. and they used to not let you lift your head from the bench at all either, that would kill me every time. :)

Thanks HW. I don't compete, and I really doubt I ever will. But, if post a PR to this board, I would like to make sure I post a "real" PR that would count in a comp.

That make any sense?

Thanks again,
Joker
