Soy Milk?

whats everyones opinion of Soy Milk? It's sometimes hard getting down a protien shake with just water. The soy milk makes it taste batter but I'm wondering if I'm screwing some other part of my diet up. BTW I'm trying to lose bf. the nutritional make up of the one I'm using "Soy Moo" is:

Per 1 cup serving
calories 70
Fat 0g
Sodium 120mg
Carbs 9g
Sugars 8g
Protien 8g

So whats the verdict?

I dont' like soy due to the possibility of estrogen level increases, whether directly or indirectly, it's still not a good product. I've known a few subjects that suffered high estrogen levels due to overconsumption of soy (males of course).

If you are having a problem supping your protein shake down with just water, maybe you should try changing things up? personally I absolutely love my shakes with water, now they taste a bit odd if i have them with milk. You could try the following things-

Put LESS water in
Change brands of protein powder, find one that you LOVE the taste of
 
I wouldn't touch soy, I use to be vegetarian and swore by soy milk and started developing a bit of gyno, thank god I stopped drinking the shit, people here post that an occasional drink is O.K

I good example of what soy does ..... ESTROGEN....
Iced earth gave us a personal account and so did MYTH, so everyone can see that even w/ the hype about soy, it's really only a problematic foood.

i now its hard to quantify amounts here....

but whats occasional? i used to have 750ml no-carb soy milk with my protein chakes when i was cutting, but only used to have them on non-weights days i.e. 4 days a week

too much? i read into it a bit and saw a whole bunch of research on how it will only reduce test. by insignificant levels, and it seemed more up-to-date then anythig else out there, i even posted up on here about it

but more often than not i;ve read first personal statements about the undesirable effects on men :worried:....i love the stuff when cutting i cant take protein shakes with water :(
 
The key to anything is adaptation. I wouldn't drink soy or reg milk if i was dieting for that matter because of too much sugar. If you HAVE to have flavor equal like someone said would be good. Also start with milk and slowly reduce to water by putting some water in with the shake too over a period of time. or when u are thirsty drinking a shake with only water is easy cuz u can down it in a second, just add it to your liquid intake for the day. I doubt that a little soy will drop your test levels substantially. I think that your body will not allow such drastic changes with moderate usage.
