This federation is geared around the people that he likes and sees all the time. If you want to get recognized in this federation go to all the meets and be his best freind. Hell you could walk in there as a part of scott vickerys crew and bench 200 at a bw of 308 and get recognized but if i walk in there and put up 350 raw @ 165 16-17 or 415 raw @ 181 junior my name dosent get mentioned in the write up or any pictures on the website. I have done several meets here all of which were state records that i broke by 30 lbs or more. Some of these records were equipped and i was raw. I have never gotten best lifter award or anything. Its bull shit and i will never step my foot back in one of his meets.

Im here to lift some fucking weight not be everyones best freind. If you want to talk come talk to me after the meet!

Actually his "fed" has been scoffed at for a long time. Sketchy lifts that make the APF look like the IPF for quality. LOL Dr. Darrell seems to be a really good guy but....

Don't ever lift in a federation that has the word "light" in it's name. Isn't the entire sport about "heavy" things, not "light".

powerlifting57, I have to disagree with your statement about Darrell. Darrell does not leave anyone out when he does his write-up for his web page or powerlifting USA. The best lifter is by formula not who sets state records. Darrell is a great person and supporter of powerlifting. People bitch about his meets as you are doing but continue to support him. People also bitch about the rules and no judges but look at all of the other federations at what they are doing. I have never seen any lifter at an SLP meet with a huge block of wood under their shirt as Hoff did. Yes, people have lifts passed that shouldn't have passed but you see that in EVERY federation now, not just in SLP. I am a supporter of SLP but do not agree with all that goes on but it is still a good time and a good place to meet great people in the powerlifting community. I also hold state and national records in SLP and other federations and have not had any write-ups over my 20 years of competing. I have been in powerlifting USA only two times in my 20 years of lifting in this great sport. This is no reason for you to stop competing in SLP or any other federation. I compete for personal gains and personal records and could care less about everything else. Stay strong and dont give up.
