Something's bugging me.

I've found 3 of these bugs in my house in the past year. I've killed them each time. They are really slow moving and don't even try to get away.
Can anybody help me identify them?

ROACH

also gave me the heebeejeebeez
it's not a roach. roaches don't bite. these things have painful bites. extremely painful, and are able to transmit parasites....fuggin' juicers...

lol you guys are dumb there all over ny there stink bugs google it i cant believe nobody knew that lol

That pic of the assasin bug has pretty damn big front legs.

The pics of the bug in Hidngod's pics have pretty damn big hind legs.

I think it is an insect.

I googled the shit out of it.
It's a type of Assassin bug. There are over 3,000 types worldwide & 150 in N. America. The central probiscus & the dote down the sides identify it.

They're all over the midwest the last several years. I know them also as 'stink bugs', a slang name taken from a similar (or perhaps same) insect found further down south.

It's totally gotta be global warming. Hell, it's supposed to hit 50 F next week here in Wisconsin. And it's only snowed once this winter.

I shoult totally invest in air conditioner stocks.

That would explain how I got to know it. Supposedly, the ones from down south -- if I remember my old friends or grandfather correctly -- 'stink' or emit something rather odiferous when killed by squishing.

I haven't tried squishing any in my recent years. Perhaps I'm overdue.

its a stink bug.

omg, them things are nasty..
They obviously are not roaches as they move to slow to be one. I thought roaches ran fast?!
Any ways- It looks as though it could be a stink bug. Try screwing with one to see if it stinks.
IMO- you should get a pest ridder person down and have em bomb your house. They may be totally harmless but damn they are nasty...I would flip out if I saw one of em in my house.

It's obviously a rare Peruvian devil bug, probably came up in someones hash stash. Time to clean house, they have 50,000 live babies every 16 days. Too small to see, but still nasty as all hell.

can you imagine that thing crawling on your face while you slept?????
They come in all different sizes. Apparently there are some in Mexico called the kissing bug. They like to nibble on your eyelids & nose while you sleep. :RADAR:

Yes, I think they are some form of stink bug. I live in the Black Hills and this past year we've had an infestation of them. They seem to be at home in Ponderosa Pine Trees. I spray them off the side of the house them step on them...they're pretty slow moving yet they can fly for sprints of short distances. Nasty all around, but I'll take them over a swarm of Japanese ladybugs, anyday.

Same family as Assassin bug. I've squishshshshshshshshsheded all 3. Made a nice crunchy saound as the exoskeleton was collapsing under the tremendous pressure of my sausage fingers. No smell at all, from the gooey cream leaking from the tissue, or the shattered limbs.

great visual references...
