Somebody make a life decision for me

AFeedz

High End Bro
Platinum
So I got offered a promotion at work a few days ago and accepted, then another department offers me another job today.

I'd get paid more in the new department and that job is I guess more prestigious, but it's significantly higher stress and the bosses are way bigger assholes than my boss.

The job themselves don't matter much because I start grad school for something totally unrelated in a couple months, so advancement isn't an issue because I'm just going to leave when I'm done anyways.

Soooo do I take the more money but crazy stress and hours, or do I take less money for the easier job? Either way I know I won't be in the field.

I can't make up my mind to save my life.

The best job does not always pay the best. Remember that.

Oh - and don't say yes to the engagement if that is coming next.

what bill said...if youre stressed and the hours blow the money won't matter and won't compensate for how you feel
if advancement isn't an issue I'd go totally with your heart and not your head on it.

I'm totally I love with my boss and I also felt really bad when I told him I'd take the job this morning then took it back this afternoon to say I'm still considering the other.

does the pay work for you now? I mean do you need more money?
if not..I think its an easy decision

I think you should take up finger painting and make the big bucks

fool everyone
"that's an afeedz painting!"
look at the beauty of the strokes
I must have
etc.

I'd stay with the less hours/less stress/nice boss option. Not worth a few extra bucks for the headache when you know you're leaving anyways.

Take the job with more responsibility clearly. It will beef up your resume and get u some difficult experience under ur belt and you'll only have to deal with the bullshit for a couple months and then ur done.

that could have blown everything right there.

It wouldn't be a couple months. I know how the department operates, I interned there a few years ago when I was in school and my best friend in the entire world is the one leaving the job and she's been dealing with their bullshit for a year and a half now.

I don't mind doing bitch work to get ahead, not at all. I don't feel above anything or entitled. The only reason I'm hesitant in this case is bc I've already chosen to get out of the field so there's no long term pay off, only short term financial benefit.

And I'm getting a raise either way, one is just larger than the other.

No. I'm the only person he wants to give the job to, he's made that clear. He's not giving it to my coworkers if I don't take it even though they're all older than me and have been there longer. He hates Blair too. Lolol

He said hell hold it til I make my decision. It could work out nicely for me. They're kind of fighting for me because I'm really the only person in the museum who's perfect for both jobs right now.

I'll probably stay through grad school, which is 3 years. Maybe less if my non profit does as well as its been doing for the past 6 months or so.

the word cooter makes me giggle...

friend of mine used to have a shirt that said "enjoy cooter" done in the old coke logo style...I enjoyed that shirt

you Jews and your non profits.

if i was a gal
I'd want my bor to call me a cunt every so often
so I know he has balls
but not too often
when I deserve it

I took the lower paying, less stress one, but both were a pay increase so it was kind of win-win.

The grad program is 3 or so years.
