Solidarity vs. Racisim

at the never to be identified federal government agency that employs me; we receive a newsletter, paid for with YOUR tax dollars, entitled "BIG: Blacks In Government". this newsletter highlights all the awards and accomplishments earned by african-american federal government employees.

after reading thru it and admiring the quality of the pictures and the polished writing style; i asked my supervisors where was the "WIG: Whites In Government" newsletter? he quickly changed the topic of conversation.

today i received a verbal reprimand (from another supervisor, an avid "BIG" reader) for making an offense, racist remark.

so, i must conclude that BIG is dislpaying Solidarity but WIG would be displaying racisim?

Its the double standard, our world is full of them now. Unfortunantly I dont see it getting any better since the universities are full of them, and they will be the people making these decisions in the coming years.
