Soldier awarded Purple Heart deserts to Canada

So, basically you have no proof that supposedly 5,500 folks have deserted. Standard...folks like you cant back up your claims, so you resort to calling people stupid.

I honestly dont know what the big deal is with a purple heart. You get it because you get hurt, that doesnt make you a better soldier than anybody else. Shit, I got one after I was wounded but I certainly dont consider it to be a medal of honor or something.

For a 12 year old who claims to have been in the military, you should know that they give out purple hearts like chewing gum to folks who sustain combat wounds.

Make no mistake, Im not degrading the award at all, but the fact that you happen to have been wounded doesnt make you a better soldier than someone who wasnt wounded.

it's so easy NOT to get sent overseas.

the worst option possible is just to go AWOL. It shows lack of creativity. All you gotta do is show up with a bag of coke at your local PD and i can guarantee you you won't be sent overseas. Sure you may spend 1 year in jail -- but it's still better than desertion.
